When I signed up it was only when you switched both fuels, but I guess these new laws came into place recently with the standing charge and it's changed. It's a good thing I guess, although they seem to have the cheapest rates around so I don't know why you'd only switch one fuel. Maybe the email we got about them lowering their rates was to do with the standing charge, in which case we're not going to be any more better off.0 -

Recent email was about marginal Gas unit price reduction
Standing Charge reduction/Dual Fuel changes appear to have happened at the end of last year, those who only have One fuel with Bulb gained.

Ahh right, well we've been with them a good few months so that would explain it. Thanks.0 -
Just curious but why change to Bulb’s variable tariff when there are other ‘minnows’ (using my post-code anyway) offering cheaper 12 months fixed tariffs with no exit fee? e.g. Avro, YorksEnergy.
There have been many glowing ‘Bulb’ posts on here recently....what makes Bulbs variable tariff offering so attractive?
Thanks.0 -

Probably the fact you can get £50 for signing up and they have no exit fee either.0 -

I believe you get it on your account as soon as your service is transferred over and your account is live.0 -
You get the credit on the day your switch completes.
Also energy prices have been falling so a variable tariff's probably a good bet for once.

Energy prices tend to go up pre/during winter when usage is at its highest.0 -
