Evening all,
No flying today as spent the morning worrying about the water running through our garden and down our drive, thankfully that's all it did.
Now we are at my parents eating their food and drinking their wine.
Boxing day is always my favourite as all the stress is done with and you can actually enjoy it. Took the dog for a walk in the woods near my parents house and had to turn back as my usual path alongside a small stream was completely submerged under what looked like a wide river.
Hope everyone has stayed un-flooded.
piggers , hope you had a good birthday, and welcome to hester x
Off for more choccies! X0 -
Watched dh's two Christmas DVDs today mission impossible and southpaw, while doing that I've crocheted the cover ds2 watched for his Nintendo Ds, it's turn out ok considering I was making it up as I was going along.
Having a small glass of port now (how old must that make me sound lol)
Hope everyone had a good Boxing DaySPC~12 ot 124

Thinking of everyone who is affected by flooding.
Dancemum, hope your back pain eases soon.
Narc0, I am jealous that you have seen a kingfisher!
Sounds like lots of people have had a quiet day, like us. I fell asleep for a couple of hours before lunch, and we have spent the evening doing the 400 piece jigsaw that I bought for DH - a Landranger map centred on our house. Even though I first lived in this area years ago and relatively little has changed, I still found it hard to work out where the different villages lie in relation to one another - and as for the deep rural areas with only farm and woodland names, they had me completely lost! By contrast, the built-up areas which accounted for about 1/3 of the map area were quite easy!
I have also defrosted the freezer, re-made 2 beds and tidied the study bedroom today.
We have eaten almost all the turkey leftovers (soup for lunch, and stir fry with noodles for tea) but have enough food in the FF to keep us going for a few more days. No more visitors expected, except possibly DGD1+2 who might spend a day with us.
DH is still coughing a bit but has definitely benefited from not going to play on the railway again today. My cough has almost gone now
Ready for bed now... Goodnight all x0 -

DD1's OH just lost his wallet with nearly £200 in so DD1 is a messTheir landlord refused to fix their cooker so they spent all their money on a new one so they could feed the children.. and his dad gave them his savings to buy food/pay bills.. so now no one has anything.

Morning all. Sounds like everyone had a lovely Christmas.
I'm just cooking turkey and gammon ready for another Christmas dinner with DD and her OH tomorrow. I need to dig up some leeks, parsnips and carrots from the garden too.
House is looking ok. I'll do the usual things today - gym, bath, hoover/sweep/mop through. Oh and practise the keyboard again as I didn't play the tunes on Christmas day! Then the keyboard is going away again. I'm sick of the sight of it. I'm just not a natural.
Right, have a great day.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning:)
Off to Sainsburys this morning for some stock cupboard supplies as I have a £6 off £40 voucher.
Spent the last hour meal planning for coming week, using leftovers to save wasting anything.
Will give house a quick tidy up before lunch, then spend the afternoon baking:)
Have a good day all:)November NSD's - 70
