Morning all
Well I didn't get as much done yesterday as I hoped to but I have done most of the wrapping now apart from a couple of bits which were in our BR but I couldn't get at because DH was in bed. So when I get up I shall wrap those and then move all the wrapping stuff and presents out of the LR. This should pretty much clear the LR floor so it can be hoovered although it will need doing again tomorrow before people arrive because of dog hairs.
The main jobs today are the kitchen and bathroom both of which need a really good clean but as long as I get at least one done today, just leaving me with one to do tomorrow I'll be happy. DD wants me to take her shopping with her friend as well so I think I'll make that dinnertime so I've got the morning to get jobs done. I've then got SW tonight but I shall only be there about half an hour.
Piggers - hope you get your electrics sorted.
I reckon I'll get up and make a start.
Have a good day all
Hugs

Morning everyone
Sorry Kaz, what a rubbish time for it to happen. Hope all is as well as it can be.
And aww Pigpen just dont know what to say. Can life really throw any more cr*p at you? Hope something gets sorted.
Mrs MP any developments? The same thing happened to us on DS2s birthday last year, he had 3 friends to sleepover and the next day his birthday cash had disappeared. I didnt know what to do, you can hardly start accusing his mates. In the end the money was found in a rucksack that was under his desk that he hardly ever uses. I can only assume it was one of his mates messing about but they all denied it. I was really annoyed because I got really worked up about it for nothing.
Hope DH is OK Ionafan, sounds very scary.
Well I woke up at 4.54am, wide awake, lists of things to do going around in my head. I am at work today too, not that I have much to do.
Going to put a load of washing in, its supposed to be dry later although its hammering down at the moment. Hope no-one is affected by the recent flooding. Wonder how Dizzy is getting on.
Right, need to get some of these lists down on paper then get ready for the day.0 -

Kitchen jinx clearing vibes for pigpen
Getting people around her to pull their own weight and support more vibes for natty
Iona massive supporting get well and meds sorting out vibes to you and your lovely DH, similar thing happened to a neighbour over the road, he fainted in the shower the bang was heard by lots of us neighbour's as he knocked the shower door off which smashed as he went down. We didn't twig what it was till ambulance arrived and we were told later, his was because of blood levels (potassium deficiency from memory) anyway once bloods were stabilised and new meds sorted he was fine and has been ever since.
Hugs good wishes posi and get well vibes plus sticks and spoons for all who need them.
Thank you all for the money finding vibes, as yet nothing has turned up. The lounge has been completely blitzed, every item of furniture has been checked in and under. All cards, envelopes, packaging and other presents triple checked. I haven't put the bags out yet for any rubbish or recycling I sorted yesterday, I did check as I was putting stuff in there but will check again with fresh eyes today. Dd3 commented that ds1 is so generous to his friends that if one asked for money he would give it so she can't see why they would steal off him. And I have a tendency to agree with that. He was very subdued when he got back from work to find there was still no sign of it, I will keep an open mind and Hope that it still turns up.
Ds2 has dentists today for a check up, and Dh may be home slightly early so bearing those two things in mind I would like to clear the list I did yesterday but didn't finish along with stuff I'll add from today's. Tomorrow the holiday starts here. From lunchtime we will have the kids calling, need to visit the cemetery, the christingle service is early again, will pop baby gifts round to work colleague who I'm doing maternity cover for and then dd1 is having a bbq! Yes really!
Dh did look through the list I'd written and picked out a few jobs that he'll do when he gets home, I've already told ds2 no gaming today till his rooms tidy and the last of the stuff he's giving people is wrapped. But I'd better make a start so I'm doing some of it. Just remembered the mince pies I've made in the past for a widowed neighbour went down well so will pop some over this afternoon. Plus some for work friend who's poorly.
Have a good day all

Back not easing at all, so going to try and get in to see the doctor between xmas and new year if it isn't better by boxing day.
Off to town this morning, picking up a parcel from the post office, popping into Iceland and then I am going to start working on the rest of todays list.
Beef smells lovely after being in the slow cooker all night, will get OH to slice it tomorrow. Will get the kids to wrap the presents they have bought later this afternoon.

I'm doggy-paddling, but doing OK, thank you. I'm lurking on the thread this week and trying to remain positiveMy lovely neighbours are doing washing for me but I've got some fantastic blowers downstairs that dry wet clothes in an instant, so that's good lol.
Sorry to hear some flyladies are having a rubbish time too. Pigpen - I know you don't do hugs, but sending them anyway. Hoping to hear you've been able to sort something out money-wise. Ionafan - your poor DH  and poor you. Sounds very scary...
MrsMP I hope the money turns up. It's an awful feeling, mistrusting friends
To everyone else :grouphug:
I have posted my Secret Santa pressie - it needs to be signed for, so apologies for that to the lady concerned, but it should arrive very soon - promise!
No flying done at all recently although have managed a make-shift ironing station in DSS's bedroom, much to his disgust.0 -
Pigpen so sorry to hear about this latest episode, thinking of you.
Ionafan what a day you and DH had yesterday; hope he gets better quickly.
MrsMP I do hope the money is recovered - so strange it's gone missing like that; I hope it wasn't one of the friends.
LameWolf hope you and Mr LW enjoyed all the celebrations for the solstice! I like it when the shortest day is done with and look forward to it staying lighter a teensy bit longer in the evenings.
Dizzy thank goodness for wonderful neighbours!
Jamiedodger have you thought about seeing an osteopath or similar for your back? Drs tend to just prescribe pain killers .... when I did mine the GP told me to take paracetamol but my pelvis had actually come partly out of the socket so no amount of pain killers would help unless it was realigned!
Natty still take it really really easy - you don't want to relapse. Who is cooking for the in laws on Christmas Day? Hope it's not you ......
Back from GP - told her about my torrid time with J and she has suggested Relate would be a good option to get us back on track. Certainly worth thinking about. Want to finish the outstanding stuff on the lists and start packing for me and the kids - plus the dogs too!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Thanks for good wishes to my DH. He is feeling much better this morning. He wil be having a quiet day!
Hope you can get power back on soon, pigpen.
