    My current status:

My WIP is JNM Safari Leopard
My stash consists of 1mx1.5m 16ct Aida & 25ct Evenweave, the full dmc thread set, lots of coloured card and enough charts to last me a lifetime. I will not be buying anything except floss to replace colours that i've used.

My goals are to complete the Leopard asap, stitch 6 christmas cards and 3 birthday cards and do something different instead of animals, maybe a large christmas stitch, hmm must get searching.

Thank you for the new thread nmm

My plan this year is to not buy anything except for floss. I had a quick look at the show details for Olympia in March but have decided to give it a miss. Might go to ally pally in October if I make some progress.

My first WIP to finish is Pretty Little Sydney. I have another six charts from the series in my stash Plus about another 10 kits in my cupboard, so need to get my act together, as these will probably see me out lol!

Looking forward to the chatter and seeing all those photos

  • Thanks for the new thread nmm
Apologies Coxy for not thanking you for the card
I wanted Jay and Aliona to win Strictly though I didn't think they were the best dancers on the night. Can't wait to see them on the live tour next year
This is still largely a stitch free zone but hopefully that will change after Christmas
I want 2016 to be the year when I reduce my stash instead of adding to it.
  • Kezbabybabe's Project List 2016:

    Work in Progress:
Chevron Socks (1 of 2 socks completed) [Knitting]
    Mmm...Bees make honey (1/3 complete) [Cross-stitch]

    Projects in Waiting
    Owl Cushion Kit [Sewing]
Eeyore [Cross-stitch] (Though I might donate this and the book that goes with it, haven't decided yet!)
    Giant's Head, Heligan [Cross-stitch]
    Lost Gardens of Heligan [Cross-stitch]
Art of Knitting Scandinavian Throw [Knitting]
    Barn Owl [Cross-stitch]

Phew! Most of those are cross-stitching at least. :o Don't worry ladies I'll make sure I'll keep a cross-stitch on the go so that you don't need to revoke my membership. ;)

It doesn't look so bad, but I bet you it's still years before I make any real way through it...
  • Hello everyone, please can I join you?
    Hopefully I can .
I will be trying to finish around the world in 80 stitches - a part work by papillon creations that only has 2 of the 24 parts left on it and then move on to peacock tapestry by Teresa wentzler. I began this one about 4 years ago and because a lot of the colours were blended together I got mad with it and left it in a drawer.
I am a serial starter and will have to dig out all the other things I have squirrelled away.
I am also very keen on hardanger and have a table runner all kitted up and ready to go.
I'm going to crack on with stitching in an evening to try and keep my face out of the fridge because I'm a SW member and my target is in sight - well it was before all the Christmas food started disappearing into me.
Looking forwards to meeting you all and seeing all your work.

Its going to be a busy year for me.
DD gets married October 2016 and I have been given the job of
    1. Making the cake eek
    2. Making all the bouquets and button holes.
    3. Making all the table decorations.
All flowers are being made out of paper and the centre pieces are going to be folded books with paper teapots and cups as its a mad hatters tea party.

I have also decided to do them a cross stitch from HAED non weddingy. Its of 2 cats.
Not sure I will be sane by October lol.

Welcome Matron Midge. I've stitched one TW design so I feel your pain about the blended threads. They look stunning when finished though. Good luck with SW. This is a terrible time for dieters
