Xmas booze costs

2 bottles of red wine - for mulling
2 bottles of Prosecco - the OH won at work and will be chilled for Christmas Day lunch
1 bottle Cinzano (only ever buy it at Christmas)
1 bottle Ginger Wine (again a Christmas thing, have opened this already as I've used some in cooking)
Crates of beer and cider for the lads
Various cans of pre-mixed drinks and cocktails (these were all on offer 4 for 3 so I bought some each week pre December).
As we have an open house on Christmas Eve afternoon/Evening it's nice to have something to offer family and friends other than a cup of tea. I wouldn't say we go mad, as most of my family only have a couple of days off work anyway.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame

Good luck to those who enjoy a drink or two at Christmas and I have nothing against hooch at all. Its just I don't very often drink, because of driving everywhere. Its still in your system the next morning .When I was working I always worked at some point over the holiday driving my taxi and saw many folk who had been stopped the following morning and were being breathalyzed. I just cannot afford to lose my license as its my life line.As I flit between various places over the holiday I usually end up as designated driver
:):) but I really don't mind at all and like to see people enjoy themselves as long as no one gets hurt in the process.
So cheers chums and I hope you all have a great time and this time next week it will all be over for another year:):)
