One bottle of wine over four days, (£5.00) and if I want a long drink I will crack open a can of cider that's been in my cupboard for two months, (50p)
Cheers

We have a decent selection of wines in the wine cellar (aka the garage
) then again that's a year round thing...not just for Christmas.
I will buy some Prosecco for dd as it's all she likes, a bottle of vodka, a bottle of baileys, a bottle of morgans spiced a few cans of beer etc.
Oh and champagne for Christmas morning, which is a family tradition and something we have done for the last 30 years
However, no one will get smashed. just a nice glass or two with meals and something to offer when visitors drop in.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Thanks for all your replies
I usually get lager, vodka, ameretto and gin, as well ax mixers. I'm not a wine drinker, but will get a couple of bottles of red in, and am tempted to try the sloe gin from ALD1 this year
What prompted me to ask, was seeing a bloke with two trolleys full of wine, at the weekend  Made me feel like a frugal teetotaller :rotfl:
Also had a blast from the past, when I saw ready made snowballs in ICELAND the other day.I can remember having them, with cocktail cherries at my late Nan's back in the 70s "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Wine, beer, kahlua, gin, kraken and red leg. Probably in the region of £80 all together as bought most when on offers.
We're going to be at my parents with my sister and BIL.
All but the wine and beer will last longer than Christmas day though.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
We still haven't finished what I bought last year (2 bottles were bought; only one drank and that was when we moved in July!) but I have spent the grand sum of £2 on a bottle of bucks fizz for Christmas Day************************************

I've bought 2 bottles prosecco from aldi and 10 cans fruit cider so £20
My go to drink is Jack Daniels but I have 2 litres in already which has been purchased throughout the year. A bottle of aldi Irish creme from earlier in the year and there's a bottle of champagne I was given at work if I'm really feeling flush.0 -
This year only £5 on beer for OH...but hoping he doesn't read this post before Christmas I also spent £5 on 2x JD and coke cans and a £25 bottle of whiskey.
We bought £15 prosecco incase of visitors over the season.
I'm pregnant this year so nothing for me! We usually have a few bottles of wine in, around the £5 mark, a bottle of moet £25/30, Baileys £10. I usually use tesco vouchers saved all year for this though so doesn't cost as much.
I have cans of G&T, gin and prosseco already in as I bought it for our summer holiday then at the start of the holiday found out I was pregnant so they will be there for visitors of need be.0 -
Probably around 200 or so. But then again I am in Ireland where booze costs are VERY high! But that's Euro so it's lower than sterling at the moment lol.
Now bear in mind (from the I hate Christmas thread) that I am the world's greatest Bah Humbug, but there is a constant stream of visitors here, family, neighbours and friends. Unfortunately I can't put up a notice saying "stay away, plague here, so I look after them!
Dozen mixed wines
4 Cava
Brandy
Baileys
Whisky ( for the Irish Coffees ha ha)
Vodka
Couple of dozen beers
Mixers
Soft drinks
It's that time of year and a bit of alcohol helps my Bah Humbugness to retreat into the background. Hic.
Off to Aldi tomorrow with my €20 voucher of €100 spend so that helps!0 -
I have a bottle of Voignier (white wine) and I'll get some port from Aldi in the next day or so. That should see me through Christmas day, which reminds me to get some more wine for Christmas Eve and Boxing day etc. I'll only get the Baron St Jean from Aldi, which is 2.99/bottle.
I don't care if anyone thinks that's excessive for just me but it'll be consumed throughout the day and I won't be getting trolleyed. Well, I might, but who cares? I don't have any family to go to celebrate with and the only friend who has offered for me to spend the season with them is a 9 hour drive away.0
