Just wondering how much you all spend on Xmas booze ? What do you buy, spend and for roughly how many people ?

3 bottles of wine, 6 real ales for hubby. We are going to DD from Christmas Eve to late afternoon on Boxing Day. 6 adults and DGS each couple put a bottle per day on the table, hubby does drink wine so I've got him the beers don't think he will drink them all but they're there if he fancies one. DD will have other drink but we don't drink much.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

£0. Just me. I'm not a drinker and there's no point buying a whole bottle of anything just for me.... it'd take 10 years to get through it.

Absolute zero. Why does everybody think alcohol is necessary to have a good time?

It must be just us that are boozers ;)

We have a dozen bottles of wine inc 4 of decent fizz, as well as real ale for OH, fruit cider,s and lager for adult kids, bottle of Bombay, bottle of decent malt whiskey and a random selection of liqueurs and spirits from throughout the year.

Between 5 of us, plus drop in guests, we,ll have a few drinks over the week, but not get smashed, no reason to use the cars - so feet up at home or walk to were we need to go :)
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

    £300/£130

Just the two of us here. Being as its on a Friday and Saturday this year, we normally have a glass of wine with tea on those days anyway and a couple in the evenings.

The only difference I can see is wine with Christmas dinner at lunch time on Friday and teatime on Christmas eve. We wouldn't normally on a Thursday.
  • We are not big drinkers, for NYE we have a bottle of Asti. For christmas we have a Baileys that was on offer at £10, we also treated to a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey that was £11 also on offer.

Exactly nothing this year - have a full drinks cupboard and copious supply of wine and champers that I have no chance of using up, as I quit at Easter.
