Unlike you, I'm a health care professional.
Unlike you, I saw her today. She was fine, she does not need to clog up a waiting room tonight since its not life or death.
I did tell her 'it's up to you ' with regards to going to a walk in centre. Patient autonomy. Ya know, like you were preaching.
I also advised her intermediary measures.
By Monday it will be 5th day, and If she asks, and If there's no improvement, THEN I'll rethink my advice.
I've been on prednisolone a number of times. It's not UNUSUAL for patients not to be 100% after a couple days especially if there's underlying infection and if they have been off for a while.
No need whatsoever to speak like that to someone who is trying to help you. if you don't want replies/answers that might be worded or different from what you think they should be, then why post in a public forum? Manners cost nothingPlease be nice to all moneysavers!
Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth."

if I offended you catoutthebag by calling you 'hunny' then I apologise. I tend to just type that if the OPs name momentarily escapes me.
I wasn't trying to lecture or patronise - merely inform.
But, as you obviously already KNOW everything there is to know about asthma, I shall bow out from this thread.
My best wishes to your sister. I feel sorry for her.0 -
You might be a health care professional, but your not a respiratory nurse or consultant.
I am a long term asthma and copd patient, sometimes you have to have 3 courses of predisnalone for it to take effect.
All they'll give you at walk in center is antibiotics and steroids or a neb if 02 is too low.
The air pollution has been high the last few days which might be affecting her.
If she gets worse she must ring for an ambulance. 3 people a day die from it.0 -

You're coming across as a right wally. If a formula works try it. If you're a skeptic try it on yourself to broaden your mind.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”
