I had an electric carving knife pulled and account suspended, I was advised to sell the blades and handle separately,a farcical situation , when I did it was pulled and suspended again , meanwhile the likes of currys and tj hughes sell dozens, if I report the items it is ignored, if however I report a single seller whoosh it is off the site in hours, A quick search shows the crazy situation whereby thousands of stanley knife handles and packets of blades being sold by the same sellers which is supposed to be against the rules but is ignored.0

I once tried to sell a vintage butchers knife and it was removed but other people had sold them describing them as " saws".
I wouldn't attempt to do that though.0 -

An electric carving knife is not cutlery. Neither is the blade sold separately.
Stanley knives are tools and are therefore not restricted/prohibited.Knives are not permitted for sale on eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie with limited exceptions outlined below.
When listing knives on eBay, members should be aware that it is an offence to market a knife in a way which indicates or suggests that it is suitable for combat, or is likely to encourage violent behaviour involving the use of the knife as a weapon. It is also an offence to sell knives to a person who is under the age of 18.
Allowed
Dining cutlery sets that include knives used for eating
Letter openers
Razor blades and surgical blades
Tools such as chisels, axes, saws and hoof trimming tools
Not allowed
Items that are not allowed included, but are not limited to:
Disguised knives such as belt buckle knives, lipstick case knives, air gauge knives and writing pen knives
Martial arts blunt training knives
Multi-tool knives and craft knives
Pocket knives, folding knives and clasp knives
Push daggers
Sharp kitchen knives (as in pair blocks), cake knives, carving knives, pairing knives, oyster knives and electric knives.
Stealth, throwing, ballistic, grivory and rubber knives, Swiss Army knives, Stanley knives and Leathermans
Switchblade, spring-blade knives, snap-blade knives, gravity knives, stiletto knives and butterfly knives
I was surprised to see Curry's selling an electric knife, but Argos had knife blocks before Christmas (since removed).
You might want to report it (prohibited and restricted/weapons/knives).

I was selling Ugg merino booties for babies and on the title said 'ugg merino not Ugg boots' and that listing got pulled, because I apparently used a reference to Ugg boots, however it was ok to list them as Ugg merino!0

Mentioning brands or suchlike on a listing is keyword spamming and I can see the point of that. I sell an item from a difficult to buy from in the UK brand , lets call it 'sword army' and I have to put up with people selling poor imitation look-a- likes and putting 'not sword army' in the title. All that means is that people searching for the exact brand end up giving up as there are pages and pages of items that state 'not sword army'. I realise the search could be trimmed by excluding the word 'not' but realistically if someone is searching for sword army that is what they put in the search box.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I see your point Soolin! This must be very annoying! It was a general oversight on my behalf, so from turn on I always carefully check my titles. Last thing I want is to be restricted for spamming. I actually thought that eBay won't allow me to even list Ugg Merino, which is a proper Australian make, but it was absolutely fine.0
