Many moons ago when this thread was still in it's infancy I was asking about skipping Dublin on the outbound or inbound flight.

We got a good deal with Aer Lingus and went to Dublin for the day on the way out and got the flight back to Gatwick to board the flight to Vegas. A lot less hassle than it sounds and there were lots of people doing the same thing.

On the way back, we had our bags checked to Gatwick (with Virgin) with no hassle whatsoever and informed them on the way out of Gatwick that would we wouldn't be going to Dublin and they didn't give a.....

I was skeptical about the connecting flights and the hassle of it but when all was said and done it was very simple really.

As for Vegas? Well... it was awesome. Better than I could have imagined and I loved it. Won some money at Hooters too :beer:

Back to lurking in the background and thinking about round 2..

Well we were not supposed to be going in June this year as we have booked Oct in the Wynn but I got made redundant in February so decided to !!!!!! it and just book it.OH has just booked us in the Venetian for a week in June so I feel all panicky,dieting tomorrow and booking things using myvegas (got 520k lps).can someone tell me please the best time for reloading rewards as I am stalking a couple of them now??

You have to be lucky, they refresh anytime between about 1500 and 2100 or so it seems to me, they definitely refreshed around 2000 last sunday and the monte carlo x 2 buffet didnt refresh.

if you are after the aria x 2 buffet or the MC x2 buffet, good luck I have given up, so now have 500,000 LP with virtually nothing to spend them on

Yes....dont

In all seriousness only gamble with what you can afford to lose.

slots are simple put you money in press a button, but be careful not to play a $1 or higher machine with multiple lines otherwise youe money wont go far unless you are Ferf or you of course want to risk a lot each spin

table games are harder but all casinos will give free lessons and some point in the day.

you can also play most table games online for frree/fun so thats a good way to learn

The reward I really want is the Monte Carlo buffet x2.we did this last year and didn't have high hopes of it but it turned out to be one of my favs...I would even pay for this buffet.So if any tips for times refreshed would be appreciated!!

I posted earlier, I don't think that reward was refreshed last Sunday, I have been chasing it for nearly 2 months and haven't seen it.

I resorted to buying one buffet each, so using an extra reward.

i was gonna post a reply and as above some casino s o offer free lessons.

some sites online has *freeplay* options for slots and rouelette so its easy to learn the games, have you tried myvegas? it has slots and it has blackjack and of course is free,
as for slots as above just make sure what the bet is dont wanna bet $50 a spin !!
as above if you are gonna gamble SET A GAMBILING BUDGET and stick to it.

remeber to get a hotel card. Mlife if its an mgm property , im sure most of the non mgm properties have cards(info on the first page) this way everyime you spend money via gambiling you MAY be rewarded for the loses you make( or if you win some money:))

Grrrrrrrrr....how annoying ...finally found all the times for refreshing,clicked on reward it said next and then by the time I had put my details in it came up sorry sold out today .....suppose I will have to try again tomorrow! I have decided I am only chasing it this week after that I am going to forget it...it's too stressful��

Just an update on WestJet

First of all the phone number to ring from the UK on their website is wrong. It goes through to a company called Nutri Ninja. So I had to use a paid number.

They were helpful enough is getting me different prices and trying different days to fly out but it was just too expensive. It was going to add $2000 Canadian dollars to the price of flying into a different airport a few days earlier. I only paid £2000 for four of us for our LV flights so I've left it as it is

Going to sit down later and work out what we can do on each day. I really want to go to San Francisco for a few days so I'm thinking of flying in $44 each plus baggage fees on top and then hiring a car and driving back to LV via Yosemite
