Thanks for the report Ferf, I hope you have recovered.
I also hate those slots that give you a full screen and it's a $20 win or something ridiculous! I don't play them.
I don't think I know the ones with the jackpot crowns but will keep my eye out for them and give them a whirl.
Congrats on the $1k win, that's a great hit :j

here's a video of the bonus round on one of the coin pusher machines (not our video). There are various base games with this as the top-box random progressive game. The bonus game is called Jackpot Streams.

we haven't stayed at Flamingo before, but we hated the Hollywood Hip room we had, it was so small and dark we were really disappointed in it even ignoring the goods lift that ran behind the bed - we would have been disappointed without that bonus. I would say we like PH better than Flamingo in terms of the casino and dining options, so it's a tough call, but with PH being more expensive than Flamingo that might swing us.
We really did like Aria, though it did feel a bit of a hike to get out of the property, the room was lovely.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Wow Ferf a 1K win-that's brilliant! Bubble I still have 104 days
I need to stop wishing my life away
The kids are totally fed up of my planning now, lol! Right my quest to find a cheaper hotel has only given me Circus Circus and the Stratosphere. I'll keep searching! May well just stay put, lol!

Thanks Ferf
We like the dining options at PH more too. I probably like the casinos about the same, PH is obviously bigger and the drinks service has always been good to us but I do like the one at Flamingo, there's something quite charming about it, even though I've always done terribly at the slots and generally struggle to get a drink!
I've been reading a bit this afternoon and quite a few reviews mention the PH rooms being dark. Flamingo gets a lot of poor reviews but these generally seem to be for the Fab rooms, haven't seen anything dodgy about the Go and I do like the idea of having a fridge and coffee maker.
I've ended up booking at Flamingo, it's fully refundable so we can always change our minds. I really fancied staying on the other side of the road for a change.
Aria was very tempting, we don't like the casino much (it feels a bit bland) but I know the rooms are meant to be lovely so would like to experience them one day.
Huge congratulations on your 1k win! My biggest ever is around $90 I think :rotfl:"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Well done on getting your room sorted Winter Jasmine
I feel I'm not being very money saving but with the prices for 4, I may stay put! The kids 19,17 and 8 when we go, will no doubt drive me to a yard glass of the bars strongest Vodka if we are all in the same room (and I can't tolerate alcohol) So a one bedroom may be what we need anyway. Funny though how you get used of prices. In NY no way would you get anywhere decent for the price a 5 star Vegas property, but it still feels the resort fees are a rip off, lol!

the funniest thing about the $1k win was it was late, I was heading to the room and playing a bit along the way. It was a $1 machine and 5 lines, so $5/spin which I would not normally play but decided to have $10 / 2 spins. First spin - nothing. Second spin - $5. Third spin - bonus. It was a Monopoly machine and I had to pick one from 5 options, the option I picked had 2x red and yellow properties - so if the wheel landed on a yellow or red property I would win 2x what the wheel showed - and I was watching the wheel at the top and tutting about it having passed the last red or yellow property before it was likely to stop. Then it lands and the machine yells 'Boardwalk!' and I was all 'what, huh?! oh, well that's OK, then'.
I tried to find hubby but couldn't so I cashed the ticket and went to the room and to sleep - left him $500 and my phone with a note saying 'gallery!'
