I have used both options. If ticket fast is free I'd go for that. You can print them at home. I've also just showed the pdf on my phone at one place, but not all will do that.

not all, but quite a few were the week or two before Christmas IIRC.

You can probably check now for an indication :)

A lot of the big name shows go dark -presumably because the "names" have the clout to get the time off -ensemble shows not so much

    Buying drinks at the bar?

All the years i have been going to Vegas i dont think I have gone to a nar and bought a drink.

I have sat in a bar and had a waitress bring drinks and tipped accordingly

MY question is If you go to a bar and buy a round of drinks and pay there and then do you tip the barman?

I do, typically a dollar a drink. Even in casino royale for the $1 Michelob.

It's usually $1/drink. We don't do it that often either, but if you don't tip it will take a long time to get a refill.

We found that out a long time ago.

the first year we went to vegas(2014) we arrived earilish i think it was about 2pm in the afternoon when our room would have been ready at 3pm( or whenever it was)
anyhow we were wondering around, my brother was dead excited and i was like slow down, lets get a drink we sat at the bar and bought 2 drinks!
never again i think it was sometihng like $8 for a beer and a coke

This reminds me of a story.

My son had gone to Vegas never been before and I told him that you didn't have to buy drinks as long as you play at the bar
So he orders a drink for him his friend and they put $20 each in a machine and are playing blackjack but then the bartender puts a slip of paper in a glass and put it in front of him, he takes the slip of paper out and it says $24 so he puts $24 in the glass
He then rings me up and says it doesn't work this getting your drink is free at the bar we were charged $24 and explains what happened.

I tell him that that is just the comp slip that the bartender has to fill out for each free drink he gives.

He did say that the bartender had been round him every two minutes asking if you wanted another drink but at those prices he better not bother
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Oh yeah, $6-9 a beer and $12-15 for a cocktail is the norm.
Even the yanks balk when they are given the bill.
Can't remember the last time we bought a drink
