    hi
and i so share your frustrations with regards the myvegas game! and for pretty much the same reasons!
when we went last year we did the myvegas rewards for the first time and though great! we got 2 free buffets (2 mgm buffet and 2xmirage) and i got us a 241 mandalay bay reward, my brother got us a monta carlo buffet for us so i was thinking woohooo we both have another year to save up so we can get 6 2xbuffets (6 rewards between us) which is a mega saving.
I think as far as i can see there are still two buffetsx2 the aria and monte carlo.I ve only looked at the hotels on the strip so there may be others.
i see there are reqwards for london, which may help if your down there for some days.
And i so understand your frustrations in regards the *count down*
I started annoying my brother just before xmas saying its only x days to vegas woohoo and i ve reminded him pretty much every day since!:T

Just for us , we need to get a few things sorted , the esta included and well i gotta lose quite a few of the lbs(and no not the money kind:D)

    ME too

as for the montecarlo x 2, I have been trying every day for ages now and never seen it available.

Apologies first, it's a washing post, please skip post if offended ;)

I've just read a TR on vegasmessage board and apparently Cosmo no longer have washer/dryer facilities in the room!

I have my last night at Cosmo and was 'looking forward' to getting my washing done before I come home.

If anybody can confirm this (Ferf are you there now?) would be useful to know, thanks.

    hi
ye that seems to be the trouble with the more popular rewards,
Im sure there was a *refreshed* times kinda post when the rewards got re stocked a few pages back which be of help?( might need it in may for our june trip!)

Im sure i ve seen a thread on one of the myvegas help games(not sure if thats what there called) but i often us myvegas gifts, guides & giveaways, where i get loads of red chips and there is sometimes a re stock alert, though how often they are put up im unsure
hope this may be of help

I have looked at both direct and indirect, and you are probably right, I have left it too late for May or June bargains.

If you don't mind indirect then make it a two centre holiday with a night in Dublin before gong to Vegas

Fly from your local airport (Ryan air is current £16 one way from Gatwick)

    Stay overnight

Next morning fly indirect from Dublin to Vegas

DUB to LAS in May starts with BA/AA at £400 return so even with the Dublin flights and hotel it'd still be under £500 return.

  • We're now looking at going in December - I'm seeing a week at the Aria, direct flights from Gatwick, for less than £800pp for 8 nights - is there any reason NOT to go around the 10th December?

So long as you aren't looking for weather- No

I was there those dates one year and it was bitterly cold - we needed coats and gloves and it actually snowed the night we left.......however it can also be mild that time of year- but then if you weren't a gambler you wouldn't have picked Vegas ;)

Only things I can think of are that pools are closed, its a bit cooler (especially at night), and shows tend to go "dark" post-rodeo finals / pre-christmas build-up

That being said, its about ten years since we've been in December!!

So really, it depends why you're going :) shopping, food, booze and gambling will be good pretty much any day of the year :D

    hi
a bit of advice in regards show tickets.I ve just learned that mike tyson is doing one of his shows in vegas(3 nights i belieive when im over in june) plus its at the mgm grand where i am staying so doublely good !

whats the best way to go about getting tickets?
Any good realiable company to go to?
Just i had a look at tickermaster and it was like over £150 a ticket but another company ticket something was £53 a ticket though they have a bit n miss reputation(accoriding to some searches i did on the,)

Just i ve never got tickets for shows in vegas over here and i d worry i wont get a ticket over there, though that could be a possiablity though.

any advice most welcome and thanks!!

MGM has its own box office - I've always bought my tickets for shows at MGM direct.

Son wanted to see Coldplay who were playing there - two days before the box office had nothing but when we went direct to the ticket office on the day (about an hour or two before showtime) we got really decent seats so if you can't get any now - it's worth trying on the day.
