Looked forward to the Caesers buffet for a few years until we tried it at Christmas. Unfortunately, a real disappointment. Wouldn't recommend it at all. Wynn and Aria are both streets ahead.Mortgage Free: 28/10/2010Time / Interest Saved: 18.5 years / £61,866.500

I have booked a last minute trip to vegas, and haven't had a chance to get any dollars. From experience, would people recommend buying some from a uk bank or using a debit card in the ATM's once out there. Are then any extra fees involved at either end on the second option??0

I use Nationwide and its fee free for withdrawals. Most ATMs charge though.0 -
I'm after a bit of advice re redeeming myvegas points.
I'm off to LV (for the first time!) in May and have about 110,000 points from playing games on my iPhone.
I've been looking in the rewards section and have a few questions.....
1 - Once I claim my rewards through the app, how does it work from there? Do I get emailed a voucher to use directly at the venue?
2 - Can I claim more than one of the same reward? There are 4 of us visiting LV so I would like to claim 2 X 241 buffet vouchers ect
3 - is there anything I can do while I'm in LV to collect more MyVegas points?
4 - We are staying at the Venetian. What's a good myVegas rewards venue to use that will be reasonably close to us?
Thanks so much!0 -
We finally managed to try out Bacchanal Sunday Brunch last trip and loved it. The food was fab and the champagne/mimosa's were flowing. The main reason I suppose you would get the Groupon deal would be to avoid some of the waiting time. I think we had nearly 2 hours before we could join the Q and then a further 30 minutes in a line...
I do wonder if they are creating the waiting time to give the buffet some extra hype? Or generate revenue from people buying line passes?
For our next trip, I have booked us in for the Sterling Buffet, it has been on my wish list for a while now. And as it is my birthday, it seemed rude not to0 -

Welcome and have fun planning! Some answers to your questions, and I am sure you will get some more soon too
1. Depends on the reward, but any reward you redeem you will receive an email with instructions on how to use them. Theater and hotel room are all booked in advance, all other MGM rewards are done at the Mlife counter. You will need a Mlife card you can sign up online quite easily.
2. All rewards are for your use only (and a guest), so you wouldn't be able to pass on a reward. Of course if you have time, you can ask your fellow travelers to start playing too, and they can redeem rewards too.
3. Once in LV, the rewards are more restricted, so you should redeem what you want prior to leaving if possible. Generally you can redeem 3 rewards from MGM per 30 days, plus partner rewards such as Monorail/Hexx/Station casino's with their own limits. There is a Bluetooth thingy they are testing that you can win spot prizes at certain MGM hotels. Not quite sure how that works as I don't have an iPhone (not working Android at the moment).
4. Your nearest MGM hotel to the Venetian is the Mirage
hope that helps a little and feel free to ask if anything is unclear0 -
Awesome, thank you lizzielie
So do I only need a MiLIfe card if I'm using MGM rewards? Do I sign up online and collect it at The desk in the MGM?
You said the rewards are for myself, and a guest, only. Does that mean I could claim 2 free buffet vouchers (1 for me and 1 for a guest), or do you mean it only in the sense of a 241 deal?
Thanks again !0 -

yes, you only need an Mlife card for MGM rewards, and you can either sign up online or in person at the Mlife desk.
For your second question, if you get a 241 buffet, that 1 reward is for you and a guest. If you are a party of 4, your only option if wanting to use 2x 241, would be for someone else in your party to also play and redeem one reward.
Also worth noting, some rewards require you to stay at a MGM hotel, so keep an eye on a "key" symbol and check the T&C's of the reward you want. Although I am pretty sure none of the 241 requires a stay though0 -
Does anybody have any experience of the Sunday Jazz Brunch at The Wynn?
We did the sterling brunch at Bally's last year and really enjoyed it. Either going to go again or try somewhere different.
I can't seem to find the price or menu for Jazz brunch and if it includes champagne.0 -
