Misty Blue, you didn't imagine it. A lot of the buffets last year were double price if you were staying elsewhere.

Whatever you do don't post on My Vegas facebook page about the non availability of the Maverick helicopter tour - I have checked every day for weeks (at different times) it is always sold out - IMO it is never offered. If you comment in any way facebook security will be involved threatning to close down your facebook page. I posted about this a few days ago.

thanks for the warning.... which page? Is it an official myvegas page? (Is there one?)

Also, is your Facebook profile real, or just used for myvegas?

Yes it is the official page found on Facebook.
My profile is real - I have an M Life card from a previous Vegas visit.:D

MyVegas Friends Rocks can be a bit precious if they have any negative comments.

Is that the one you're talking about? I read it, but never comment on there.

With some rewards, it is nigh on impossible to snag and you spend hours clicking back and forth, bring back the days it was a set time(ish)! In any case, I just seen some suggest to get the Maverick reward through the BJ app, so it might be worth giving that a shot.

I do wonder thought, why Myvegas would threaten to close down your FB account, as that would have nothing to do with them, but as Pebbles says, MyVegas Friends Rocks can be a touch sensitive to negative posits and a few seems like they are unofficial FB police... So it wouldn't surprise me that there would be a few of them stalking the Myvegas official page too to scare people... Good luck JonesMUFC!

Our countdown has started, not originally planning to visit Vegas before September in combination with our trip to Orlando. However we've juggled our holidays around as hubby gets quite a bit less than me. So we're in Vegas from the 27th May to the 2nd June :j It just seemed such a waste to let my 2 free nights at the Aria go unused... So our w/e is free, to the tune of $650 being comped, I consider that a win already. Love the fact now you can also book the comp rooms online, no need to call Mlife VIP services

Our rate might be better....you're there labor day weekend and we're not. There's no travelzoo or anything as yet, so we're up around our previous rate (well 7 under our previous rate). We weren't able to achieve any animal noises special happy hours, but it sounds like the happy hour is back to roughly what it was anyway and they have the wine reception too. I was never sure whether to use this when we were on no resort fee but from this year's emails it sounds like we're welcome to. Hope that makes sense!!

As for MyVegas, we have just over 200k each in LPs, and we might struggle to use them. For those with many points it might be worthwhile doing a night each, giving you 2 nights together hotel stay or a redemption with reduced rates maybe. Then once you're a guest you can use the higher redemptions too.

We stayed at Luxor last May for 3 nights using our LPs, plus we did some 2xbuffets. We did 3 redemptions each, plus some GVR stuff as we had a few nights at Westin Lake Las Vegas on that trip. Then in September we stayed at GVR and did 2 redemptions each daily (buffets and drinks), then we did some 2x MGM buffets on the higher points because we weren't staying.

There's definitely less 2xbuffets around for non guests, so it's hard to get that and they do make a dent in your points. We used up most of our points each trip, so we've never built up a million! That said, we've only played for maybe 2 years now, so we didn't play when it was as good either.

Not sure if we'll manage to spend 200k points (might be 300k or so by the time we go). We'll definitely do some Bellagio 2/1 s as we like that buffet. And will see what there is for MGM too as we like it too. And some station redemptions.

I always assumed i was the *only* person who felt a bit negative about the myvegas game(though i do play it )

I mentioned it on the 2015 thread about it seems that alot of the *2xbuffets* which i was aiming for this year have dissappeared,though a few others say they can still see them.

I have over 200k lps and like a poster above will struggle to use them,

I think a lot of players are feeling negative, especially those who have played for a long time. Less rewards, more restrictions and the game itself feeling a lot tighter in terms of pay out. However it is still a nice addition to help with the budget for a Vegas trip, and some nice additions in the UK too for rewards to spend your LP's on. I reckon as long as the numbers of visitors to Vegas keeps going up, it is unlikely you will see the great rewards we used to. And of course, some people took great advantage (abused?) the offers in the past, and that also had an impact. For us though, we have had plenty of value out of it, and as we generally stay at a MGM hotel, thankfully we tend to still find good value to our trips with 10 MGM rewards between the two of us.

But hey, still dreaming of the old rewards of 2 night stay at the Aria, afternoon tea at the Bellagio and the Tender credit
