After the exchange rate being so poor for the last few months, what do you all reckon the chances of it improving are following Trump's win?"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

I don't think anyone knows, although it he goes on a spending spree then it should at least put a floor on the current rate.
I do think the impact of the exchange rate is rather over-played. Unless you're a big gambler, the largest outlays are for flight and hotels and these can be fixed in pounds and haven't really been impacted by the rate if you pay via a third party.0 -

For us , we spend more in Vegas than the flights cost and I always pay for the resort fee in dollars.
The exchange rate does make a big difference to us0 -
Agree with photome....spends are far greater than flights and hotel together.Hotels are usually booked direct,so pay whatever the rates are on check in/out.
For once I am going to be optimistic...I'm looking to see the dollar go up.
So thatll be the dollar at $1.10 by Xmas then:rotfl:0 -

It has gone up a little bit since we arrived. I hope you're right Brats640 -

Same here - best we've ever had was New Year 2007-2008 when it was around $1.90 to the pound....great days - lots of virtually half price meals and shopping!
We pay buttons for flights and hotels and never skimp on food and drink but when the pound is stronger we definitely splurge more on shopping. Fingers crossed eh?"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Best we ever had was $2.08/£1 in 2009 I think. We've hardly bought a thing this trip. Still enjoying it, but not shopping much, so far anyway.0

I wanted my usual 0430 Mcdonalds snack after waking up early in the Excalibur only to discover that Mcds has been binned from all the MGM resorts on the strip.0

They aren't making me want to go back. Getting rid of all the stuff I liked about the place.0 -

As someone who likes to save money where ever possiable i often find it hard to find fantastic deals n what not for flights and hotels.
I have Mlife and sometimes get offered free nights there but its often 2 nights which to be fair is something
