Thought he had a job?
Also its not us asking for help, he wants the help we just need black and white factual figures.
So far all I am getting is someone who drives abroad for cigarettes, does not work, does not pay TV licence and wants to stay in a nice house.
For god's sake, he had another interview today and as far as I know he went to it. He works quite hard but his buisiness is unproductive now, so yes he has got a job and he is starting on Tuesday as he says.
Talk to him not me0 -

We have heard much more from MC about SLGs business than from SLG himself - are they one and the same??????
Is it me being overly suspicious - this is all quite odd!
Here we have a chap who hides from the TV licensing people, but pays an accountant for small business dealings.
No we are not the same mouse click has been helping out keeping you guys up to date with posts as I have been flat out looking for work witch I have now found. & the reason I pay my account £350 a year is because I have not had a tax bill for some time, & it’s all done properly with NO back hander’s.
It’s very hard to fiddly my tax as all transactions are electronic so can’t hide that. All I know is I pay my accountant her fee & I don’t pay any tax.
This will change once my companies’ income picks up but at the moment I’m not complaining.
At the end of the day If I have the money I pay my way when I do not then I have to hide. I never have spending money to waste I think that why I’m in the s***
I want to change my ways that’s why I am here to put things right that I have mest up.0 -

I can't believe you even considered fiddling tax.
Sorry but there are people on this board today in tears with genuine problems, the only problem you seem to have is hiding from responsibilities. We all pay taxs, we all pay TV licences life is like that.
Good luck to you.0 -
Although I agree with both sides of the argument that seems to be developing I will say the following -
People on here are very helpful and happy to help people like you but nobody is going to spend the time to help you until you post an absolutely comprehensive SOA, especially in your situation as even something that costs £5/month could make a big difference. Perhaps someone could post a template for you to fill in if that would help, I'd do it but I'm at work at the moment. I can email you a spreadsheet I use for my budgeting if you want to PM me your email address.
Or I could go through what you've posted so far and put in the blanks for you to fill in.
I agree there are some questions over your methods, and you have probably been very stupid with your borrowing, but I've been there and it took going to rock bottom to realise and finally do something about it. I'm now renting a better house than the one I owned, in the same area and with less monthly outgoings. Plus I don't have to worry about house repairs etc.
Selling your house will take a while and incur other costs that you would have to pay out until you get the money from the sale.
You may not be willing to write a full SOA because you don't want to see how much you owe and how bad your situation is in black and white, but it has to be done and will ultimately help you out.
Your situation is bad but I do think there is a chance of you keeping your house. This will mean a lot of hard work for quite a long time until your are financially sorted out and you have to be prepared to do the work and put in the effort.0 -

You or another poster said I may be fiddling my tax unless I am mistaken,
Question? Isn’t because of the high taxis we all have to pay that we need to borrow & get in trouble?
I was simply trying to say I do not fiddle my tax I don’t know the 1st thing about tax that’s why I pay my accountant so I don’t have to spent days & days working it out.
If you do not want me here then that’s not a problem just ask & I will politely thank you all & go away.0 -
I will look at the proper way to do this SOA
I will need a few days on this.
I have been very down running about like a blue !!! fly.
I do not fill very well because of pressure of my debts and at the moment I have a splitting headache and need to lye down. I never have headache’s, this one is a killer?
This new job I have just found has made me fill a lot better but I need some spear time to recover I really do not fill very well & need to recover so I can have a clean head for when I start my new job this Tuesday.
So if you all don’t mind me taking a brake I will be back with my soa next week.
Thank you for your help I must go.0 -

No, it's not. I pay the same taxes you do (actually, I pay my TV license too) and I don't have to borrow and get in trouble.
Please post a full SOA as no one can help you properly until you do.0 -

The one beneficial effect this forum has had on SLG is that he has now written down and seen the amount of his debts, panicked, and got himself a job which will hopefully save his hide. Good on him.
He has now gone off to chill out for a few days. I didn't really want to comment again, but feel obliged to, as this comment implies that he is somehow fiddling his tax. He may not be as erudite as some here, and is perhaps not explaining himself well. However he does take a dividend from the company, and the company has not paid any corporation tax in the last financial year, and it is all perfectly above board.0 -

Yes I see you could look at it that way, but when I posted I had in mind that the company wasn't in fact making a profit of £1000 a month like he thought. Obviously a reputable accountant would ensure that all taxes due were paid.
I'm afraid I don't know enough about company taxation to know whether it is possible to make enough profit to pay a dividend yet not pay corporation tax.0
