I've received no text about my ee bar being recalled. If I'd not heard about it on here I'd be none the wiser. Surely EE has a duty to inform its customers and not just by some announcement on their website? Has everyone here had a text about the recall?

I received the text on both numbers I used to get them with originally.

What is the law regarding this? I would have thought you would be entitled to your money back given the product is clearly faulty!

I have a power bar but am not an EE customer and a voucher is of very little or no use to me!

    TIA

They'll happily return your money. The downside, though, is that they were free, so there's nothing to return. :)

Wow! You'll certainly get a refund, provided you have some proof of purchase.

Why not just say to bin the chargers?

Don't put batteries in a bin?
    A bit of corporate responsibility?

If you're in love with the power bar, take it back, get your voucher, and you can have a better one for under £20, and you're quids in (if they're still in stock). I took earphones.

You shouldn't have paid more than £7 for this capacity.

EE have withdrawn all power bars until this has settled, but they said they will sell them again later. Vouchers only valid until end February 2016. It's difficult to find a similar one with 2600 mAh and a torch.

It was part of a deal to get it swapped daily whilst at Glasto so was worth the money for that alone! Used it a lot since too until the recall that is!

Have since mooched their accessories online and agreed can get something else or as well as :)
