I've just made my spreadsheet up to date for my groceries e.t.c.

My plan for the year was to recoup the actual cash that I spent by buying cashback items.A great success.A negative amount of £122 pounds for the year to date.2/3rds of my apg's were from wombles and 1/3rd from my own apg's.

we live in fear and dread.

mine has been in Asda - very classy - he has bought 2 things at £4.65 - I wonder if its one thing he has paid for twice.
otherwise its a very expensive over priced card which annoys me.

also something else for about £18

wish I could figure out what he has bought.

he used the debit card instead of the credit card - I still cant get him to understand the difference between the 2.
So the balance in the current account dropped and as I was out all of yesterday I knew it was not me.

I was in Asda on Saturday but he sat in the car so he did not come with me into store or go and check anything out

Needless to say I bought my own present to wrap but as its likely to be a far better thing than what he has bought for £18 in asda then I really cant wrap and give it to him to give it to me on Christmas morning - or can I?

I'd better go and wrap his present now :D

Strange - have you checked your Amex - I got my 2 Amex straight aw away but now I think about it there should be 3 of them - have to go and have another look

I got a reminder about the Pizza Express on - spend £30 get £10 back - I had forgotten about this one

right having checked my account I am missing one £5 so I rang Amex up and it can take up to 8 weeks to go on  so the chap put a note on the account
and I put a reminder on the calendar but by the end of February I will not be able to make any sense whatsoever of the note :rotfl:

Had 2 failed cooking attempts trying to make rocky road of all things. Chocolate melted fine, all looking good until I added butter and syrup as per recipe, then just went into a solid mass. Had to add some frosties (no cornflakes or rice crispies) and kind of squidge them in to the chocolate mass, so now we have balls of chocolate frostie cakes!

Second attempt I did things a bit different, didn't add syrup as I thought that had been the problem, but did add butter. Same thing happened.

Put a bit of oil in (google suggestion) but didn't help much. Mixed some of the dry ingredients into it (biscuits, glace cherries and sultanas) and again squidged into little balls and put into petit four cases. DD had wanted to make it to give to her boyfriends parents. Still tastes good, but doesn't look as neat and tidy and will be harder to package.

Went through 8 bars of value milk chocolate during the 2 attempts, all out of it now!
Did you put the butter and chocolate and syrup all in the bowl over a pan of hot water to melt it? I think it all has to be at the same temperature to stop the chocolate seizing. ;)

Yep I can't understand this stupid rule, is it a rule the dentists apply themselves or NHS?

I get my teeth done abroad as they're cheaper & better qualified than UK dentists, but got myself on the UK NHS list just in case. This year I had a pain so went the dentist & he said 'you're private because you didn't come here in the last 3 years'.

Worked out OK £25 incl the pack of antibiotics, but I was livid he'd knocked me off NHS.

A doctors' surgery wouldn't knock you off just because you were well for 3 years!

Must be down to the dentist, I hadn't been to mine for a long time and I was still on the list.

I intend to insist on phones being turned off when the kids come round at Christmas for meals, even though myself and oh are both getting new ones. My son''s fiancee is a real pain with hers so the first thing the grandkids are after when they get here are electronic devices or the TV', none of which will be on for Christmas dinner or tea on Monday when kids and grandkids are coming.

Popped into local boots ( Th@rnbry) and they had loads of random reductions. Lots and lots of L'oriel/Rimmel mascaras, lipsticks, nailvarnish. Sanctuary stuff, Olay cc make up, Lee Stafford hair, vitamins. It was on the end of 3 aisles, about 3 or 4 shelves full. It was all down to a few pounds and the 3for2 offers came off as well. Got a few little stocking fillers:xmastree:
