Anyway last time i went it was jan 2014 I pointed out this wasn't 2 years and she said 'almost' so now she going to see if she can get me back.
And now I have to remember to ring the dentist for appointments no reminders, which is fine if you know about (I didn't)
Yep I can't understand this stupid rule, is it a rule the dentists apply themselves or NHS?
I get my teeth done abroad as they're cheaper & better qualified than UK dentists, but got myself on the UK NHS list just in case. This year I had a pain so went the dentist & he said 'you're private because you didn't come here in the last 3 years'.
Worked out OK £25 incl the pack of antibiotics, but I was livid he'd knocked me off NHS.
A doctors' surgery wouldn't knock you off just because you were well for 3 years!0 -

Hope you soon feel better. I always make my next check up appointment before I leave the dentist then I store it in my phone on google S planner and it reminds me on the day. Or you can set it to remind you day before. HTH
I will do that next time. Hopefully I can get back on the list took 18 months to get in the dentist as well. So annoyed though.
I was a bit peeved why would I know that the tooth removal appointments wouldn't count?
So I have to go a minimum of every 18 months as '2 years' is not 2 year but 23 monthsI have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. Target 12/2020 :rotfl:

Squigs I will address this to you as others seem to think I was horrid - well I wasn't, I was just thinking of Paddy who had a great life & if a dog goes blind or is feeble, most owners put it down but you didn't, you gave Paddy a lovely life beyond the point most people say enough is enough.
Having had a lovely life, Paddy has passed on, I think it is natural for an owner in that situation to say, well I'm glad I gave Paddy a fantastic life but in a way I'm also glad Paddy has passed on because that marks a new start for me and a fitful end for Paddy, dogs are not humans after all & Paddy did not really enjoy the last few years the same as a young dog.
I think you owe yourself a cocker spaniel puppy as they are IMV the best, but there are many other good ones as well eg labs - if you get a rescue PUPPY that's great as well but if you get a rescue adult dog, you know there might be issues but OTOH that would be nice of you again.0 -

Makes no sense at all. I don't even think that dentists have lists anymore. How can you not count as being seen because you didn't have a check up. Sounds like your practice is reducing the number of patients they see under the NHS.
What does "see if she can get you back mean?" I'm guessing it means ask the dentist if he wants to see a previous patient or not.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. So you're ok till 8 pm:beer::beer:
I'd better go shopping
I have an appointment to get this tooth out in the hospital on 22nd January as it gets infections every so often and is just a pain. Been waiting 9 months for that.
I think I have an infection in it and I don't think they will take it out if it has an infection so need to get it sortedI have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. Target 12/2020 :rotfl:

I see mine every 6 months never asked if I could go every 12 months . Just thought they would take me off their books if I didn't go twice a year0 -

See said she will ask if I can get back on the list.
I did say several times 'but it hasn't been 2 years yet'
I don't get it either it seems I must have a check up under every 2 years as the referral appointments (for brace and tooth removal) and attempted tooth removal don't count.
Fingers crossed I get an appointment and I will make a new one before I leaveI have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. Target 12/2020 :rotfl:
