Peking duck is lovely, have made it a few times but the pancakes are hard to get these days, had to get them from the local Nepalese supermarket of all places :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The rest of my family have been so lazy they still haven't put up any decos here.

I put together a very saver Xmas tree - 3 branches from an evergreen that was blocking a path, looks a bit like a tree inside now it's set up.

I'm not the deco boy, that's their job.

I'm more the mulled wine boy.
  • I went to asda earlier in the hope of getting the last few bits I wanted. It was raining and too windy for my umbrella. MG has taken his car to work so I used the bus.

Asda had NOTHING I wanted. Not one item off my list  bear in mind it's meant to be the second largest A in the country! (Where is the biggest then?!) for the first time in a very very long time I ended up just leaving my still empty trolley and walking out.

Ahat a waste of £2.50 bus fare and two hours of my life  :rotfl:

Not sure about the biggest but Asda Boldon is/was the one with the largest turnover in the country.
  • So sorry Squiggs(())

Have had a nice couple of emails today from my complaints! Sainsbury have given me 1000 nectar points for the two lukewarm cups of capuccino on double up day and warburtons have sent me £4 of coupons because DD complained about the lack of fruit in their 8p whoopsied teacakes.

Lots of good reductions on toys/crafts stuff in our dobbies today. Even better with 10pc off card and gift vouchers bought in tesco a couple of years back.
I agree with mhoc don't bother with birds custard. I usually use ambrosia. Run out of custard once had to pop round neighbours to borrow some. It was birds - do you think I could get it to thicken and when it did skin formed!
Thanks tweets for the pampers link.

Well done to tiny's oh cleaning the oven out. I will wait to after Christmas as I have bought the oven cleaner from 99p where you put the shelves in the bags. This is great stuff even though probably very envrionmentally unfriendly. Brings the racks and pans up brilliantly.
