I make mine with half hot water and the rest lemonade. Has to be just opened proper fizzy lemonade and I never, ever make it up to a full pint, which gives it a firmer texture once it's set

I start mine two days before - jelly on day one, blancmange on day two and cream on the day. It's how my nan used to make it and I only ever make it for Christmas and special occasions

Just spent last 3 hours making 3 gingerbread houses. Last tray in the oven so hopefully they will be all out in an hour. Never made them before. Hope they will be okay. Tomorrow is mince pies and marzipan the cake, then shortbread if I can be bothered. Only need my veg & dairy so nearly there. Got some lovely cards in M&S outlet today. Also loads of really cheap crackers but have loads in already. Managed to buy even more stocking fillers chocolates in home bargains from trolley coins (found 6 in last 2 days!).

Yes , Paddy had a great life and thank you all for for your lovely comments.

As harryhfp says, I do have to move on.
