Ophie, just found your thread, I only get on every now and again as we are in the process of adopting a little boy, he has now been with us 4 1/2 mths. We are a family, we spend time togther making up for lost time and I AGREE with the others its about ''being together'' the simple things in life, such as blowing bubbles, walking in the park, kicking the leaves, watching the birds fly. It's these things and being there and not making a judgement on their past and what may or may not have happened that will strengthen your relationship.
Love, love and more love will be your glue to this child that will make you closer than any biological link.
