    Thanks watty

Work colleague was too ridiculous for words and he made a pr*ck of himself in my eyes yesterday

Myself (re sugar tax) - They should make fruit and veg cheaper than convenience foods, this would do more to solve the problem of people buying cheap cr*p.

Work colleague (scathing tone) - Well it wouldn't make a difference to you because you don't eat vegetables

Myself (with puzzled look)- I eat fruit and salad

Work colleague (laughing) - Oh yeah

Conversation in the morning re a stuck bolt on the car park gate, I commented that I was worried I couldn't turn it to lock it, reply "it's only you that can't work it"

I have come to realise he hates me, in fact detests me. The reason is only guesswork but I have my suspicions, he is not as holier than thou as he would like :D:D

ashamed I felt down at how little people have (see the last pic)

    http://www.amazing-stories.net/they-asked-each-family-to-go-shopping/

I would be interested to see how much of each families groceries were left/thrown away at the end of this week.

Surely no one needs to eat so much rubbish!

I'm also shocked by the amount of cola the Mexican (?) family consume!! Compared to their huge fruit intake too it just seems nonsensical.

As a family of 3 we buy so little each week. We don't consume chocolate/biscuits/crisps and I literally buy what we need to make the meals I plan to make that week. We don't eat out much, and take picnics when we do go out for the day as we find it more convenient and healthier. I honestly shock myself with how little there is on the conveyor some weeks but I guess it's just about planning and a desire not to overconsume. I guess I'm saying there is a lot of overbuying I reckon in many of those examples.

I was quite shocked too Chocs, by a few of them, you always imagine that your country is the one gripped by low cost convenience food but we are by no means the worst offenders :T

    From previous post

So here goes a mid month budget plan
18/03 Save £280 for holiday fund
24/03 Save £320 for holiday fund (that's the holiday sorted)
1/04 Save £230 for Emergency fund
8/04 Save £70 Emergency fund and £90 Xmas fund

Well I thought long and hard over what things I was blindly ignoring when I did my budget and it came to about £260 :eek::eek:

No wonder I am a little off, I suspect that this is a regular thing, so no more. I thinK I am very guilty of doing my budget how I wish it to be and not what it actually should be, a common error I suspect :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Here is my revised budget plan
    18/03 Save £150 holiday fund
    24/03 Save £200 holiday fund
    01/04 Save £150 holiday fund
    08/04 Save £200 holiday fund

That allows me to pay for what I need to before the holiday and have a contingency for DD (although serious budgeting advice is required out of earshot of OH ) :D:D

Great news for DD with the rent situation - and back dated :T

Loved your budget update. I am also guilty of doing some very weird things with my budget planning (mainly because of my rubbish mathematical skills even when using a spreadsheet and calculator :rotfl: ). However, it does keep me focused by having to double check everything all the time!!

unable to master spreadsheets or budget planning but I battle on with my scribbles hopefully ....it passes muster in the end but probably only because I have a reasonable income :)
