Wife spends a small fortune on handbags, clothes and shoes. No idea re. makeup. I too like nice clothes and shoes and hardly buy "cheap". However, the sheer quantity my wife buys is quite something else.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

It was books for me. I tend to read series' by authors and buy them in paperback. It's expensive and not worth it to be honest. I now have a very small number of authors (two or three) that I buy in real life for and keep them on my bookshelves. The rest I buy on kindle, which is usually cheaper.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I hope I made sense yesterday, sometimes what I can hear in my head doesn't get to paper..............wonder if that's because I can verbally communicate it in my head on the toilet at 3am:eek: but when it comes to typing it out the gremlins play havoc in my brain. So in future I am going to buy one nice handbag a year, cheap shoes, cheap makeup, mediocre work clothes, a nice jacket and.....................gallygirl I will chuck all that old makeup promise :D:D

Anyway very excited today, got my first TCB at £12.63 (less the £5 charge) hopefully it won't take long to appear.

It's like waiting for paint to dry :( I have another £23.71 pending and another £21.42 on tickets not tracked

So interesting about the handbags! Sue, can I ask, why buy a handbag a year, that seems a lot to me? Just wondering.

Hi Karmacat I do love them and one a year seems achievable without impacting (I only buy in the sale) on the budget.

For years and years I have only bought a cheap black bag, used it to death and thrown it out, now I have 5, the oldest one being the MK one which was £170 (reduced from £340) It is 3 years old and still looks brand new, I expect it to last another 5 years so that's £21.25 a year. :T I buy classic styles so they will not go out of fashion, just makes sense to me. I work in an office so have to be smart as well :D
