Going to try main shop in A1di this week as spending too much in Sansbs in spite of 2 money off online vouchers! Meal plan this week:
Hairy Bikers cauli cheese with bacon and mushrooms
Thai green chicken curry and rice
Chicken dinner roast potatoes etc.
Tuna pasta bake
Sausage casserole
Ratatouille (cheating with tins)
Something made of leftovers on day 7!
Will try to stick to my list...GC Feb 2019 (to 10th) £397.07/£3000 -

An A!di & a Morry's shop have seen my spends go to £64.24.
Brought more than is needed (again) but one day I will get it right.
I don't think it is helping me having to rely on the wheelchair for a while, I think I am buying extra in case I cant get out for a few days when there is no need to do this. Hubby and daughter are quite capable of doing the shopping if needed.
On a better note nothing will be wasted and a lot of the extras will last ages - juice, washing liquid, cereal, T. bags, nuts, sultanas and balsamic vinegar.
Have a chicken curry in the slow cooker which is beginning to smell nice, will have it with rice and a nan tonight.
Have also taken a hm minced beef pie out of freezer for mum and hubby has taken that down later for her with some cooked veg and some rice pudding for afters.
[/wyswig49B] please let me know how the Hairy Bikers cauliflower cheese with bacon and mushrooms goes as saw this done myself the other day and quite liked the look of it.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Went shopping this morning, spent £84.28 so sig updated.
Had egg chips and mushrooms for lunch and tonight we're having yesterday's veggie casserole mash and dumplings that we left over.
Hope all are well and weekend isn't too expensive.SPC~12 ot 124

Afternoon folks, Saturday shop done with a total bill of £85, taking the monthly total to £286/£350, so £64 left for next Saturday which is my last shop before pay day. I have a feeling I may be about £20 over this month, but its still a massive improvement on Decembers spend.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Afternoon all
Just started snowing here
Made a sc full of chilli mince today. Will put back on the morrow, keep some back for Monday and then freeze the rest.
Think I will try to make some soup the morrow to use up some leeks and broccoli, that are now looking a bit sad in the chiller.
Had another NSD today but need to shop the morrow for F & V, milk and pack-ups.
Hope you all having a great weekend and staying warm and dry

Popped to mr T's today for a few bits, spent £20.46 on lunch bits for next week, milk and some treats for everyone tonight as we're going to have a family movie night. Got quite a few bits on ys so that helped keep everything down. Very sore today so felt we needed some treats. Somehow managed to snap the handle of the washing machine so having to open it with a knife at the moment - it has been one of those weeks! It's an old machine so not worth getting repaired but will have to try and manage until the end of the month before we can buy a new one. Hope everyone is having a good weekend xGC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100

Popped out about 3pm to get the baby's formula milk, decided to head to the local cooop as the milk is the same price there as the big supermarkets. Managed to get some YS bits, 2 stuffed crust bbq chicken and bacon pizza's 99p each reduced from £3.75, some chicken bites for the kids 69p reduced from £1.89, 2 packs of trimmed leaks with 2 in each 20p reduced from 79p, a mushroom risotto for 75p reduced from £2.49, button mushrooms 25p reduced from 89p, 8 pork sausages 50p reduced from £1.89, 4 cadbury pudding's 39p for 2 reduced from £1 and a coconut sponge for 29p reduced from £1. Cost me £5.64 but should have been £19.24 so a 70% saving.
Have put the pizza's, chicken bites, sausages and mushroom risotto in the freezer for Feb's meal plan. The mushrooms and one of the leaks will be used on weds with some diced steak for a steak pie. The cadbury pudding we're having tonight and the sponge will be eaten over the next couple of days.
Also popped to Aldi as I didn't get the chicken thighs out of the freezer this morning, got chicken Kiev's as I knew they were on the meal plan later in the month so have just swapped the days over. Also got the extra milk and bread I was going to get on monday and the rest on monday's tea. Shouldn't have to shop now until next Thursday as we have plenty in.Grocery Challenge 2024

I spent just under £30 in Morries, Iceland and Aldi today. My total is now £116.78/£400.
I'm happy with this because we're more than halfway through the month and the freezer and cupboard stocks are going down steadily. Fighting the biggest battle of my life.Started 30th January 2018.

That's how my month is panning out as well, it's a lovely feeling isn't it to start the year ahead. I'm using up things that have just been lurking in the freezer and cooking from scratch much more this year so far we are eating better and cheaper as its using up rather than buying in and having the freezer rammed full of things we never eat because it's too full to check what's in there.SPC~12 ot 124
