    Just lost my post...grrr....

Quick version is DH and I have decided to eat clean for the next 3 days as I am unwell and he wants to kick start his SW weight loss after the excesses of Christmas.

I should be around £62.50 for the week but am currently at £87.42:eek: Meal plan for next 2 weeks is done and I should only need a chicken pie and fruit next week to bring me back in line.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

Sorry I'm a bit late in joining. I'm joining with a very low £50 (sorry can't seem to make it red)

*Edited to add* This is for 2 adults and a 7 month old. Her milk and nappies are a separate budget. Our two cats also have their own budget too.

I have cupboards full of stuff and a freezer that is packed full of food. I have made a meal plan for the whole month based on what we have in store and I just need to buy the extras for the meals in. I have already spent £30.29 on food. This was just to stock up on cupboard essentials we use a lot and more frozen veg to last us.

Tomorrow I need to go up and get some fresh fruit and yoghurts for my partners lunchbox for work.
I've worked out I will spend £5.28 tomorrow, I also need to buy sausages which we normally do from the butcher but I'm going to check the supermarket ones to see which are best for meat content so unsure on price right now! Preferably I won't spend over £2.50 on sausages.

    Hi All,

I need to add to my total spend as picked up the extras I needed from my shopping list on New Years Eve.

Unfortunately yesterday I was hit with the sickness bug that's doing the rounds, so haven't actually started cooking from our food plan for the week :( This has meant that hubby has been popping to the shops to buy what he fancies....

Have left him to it. I'm going to treat this months budget as MY food shop budget. I'm normally as bad as him (he's been to the shops twice today, first time picked up burgers and rolls, second time salad and baby potatoes) so if I can get myself in control then hopefully I'll be able to work on him after. That's my theory anyway!

    Evening all

Hope you all enjoying your weekend.

    Had NSD no2 today.

I made beef mince (freezer) with new pots and tinned peas for DH, as he's still suffering with the 'man flu'. This is one of his favourites so I knew he'd make a good effort at it - and he did. There was enough mince lo for two portions for the freezer.

I had HM broccoli and leek soup (freezer), with the addition of an end of stilton lurking in the fridge and a brown roll.

I need to finish my monthly menu the morrow and go shopping for weekly fresh stuff.

Hope you all have a super Sunday

    A mixed day for me.

My intentions were good (aren't they always!) and I started with the meal plan for the week. Even got as far as getting dinner out of the freezer for tonight (beouf bourgignon with dauphinoise potatoes .... reduced item from pre-Christmas :) ).

However, DH took DD climbing, where she had a faint spell ... so £4 spent on coffee (DH), water and lucozade for DD ...

All went a bit off piste from then on.

HM leek & potato soup with warmed pittas for lunch ... with 5 portions of soup in the freezer for the future.

As we'd run out of milk and low on coffee, I decided to go and top up @ M***'s, as the instant coffee with like is on spesh .... hmmm, so much so that two branches had none to be seen :( Contemplated an online order, but having just moved house need to speak to Customer Services when they're open to sort my account out. Grr.

Managed to just buy 2 pints of milk (£1.13)

The good news was, I filled up with petrol first, which meant that I accrued a £5 vouched to put towards the coffee, if I ever find any!

By the time I got back, all interest had been lost towards cooking, so a Chinese takeaway has been demolished (£25.60).

However, whilst DH went and got that, I did put a loaf of bread in the BM for tomorrow and I found a coffee refill in the cupboard :)

In other positives we managed to re-organise the garage, which has needed doing since we moved in 3 months ago, and meant we found a whole load of basics (lentils / flour / cat food). So feeling a bit more upbeat :)

Also, found my LL butter maker, so with the leftover cream, I'll be making butter in the morning :)

Aim for tomorrow is to get that darned meal plan drawn up and a trip to the SM to get provisions in ....
