First shop of the year, I've spent £44.24 on fish, fruit, veg and milk. We should be okay for the next week or so as the freezers, the fridge and the larder are all very full.

    Total so far: £400/£44.24.

I am fairly frugal but tend to buy too much yellow sticker food
I have 2 huge chest freezers and 2 small upright freezers, totally full, however 1 big chest freezer is for dog food. (3 huge German Shepherds fed raw who won't be included in my budget )

    Shopping total today £18.83.

That included mince pies reduced to 42p, cat food, mince for me to do batch cooking for the freezer, 2 jars of coffee, 3 M&S local meals (on offer) for husband's 5:2 days, kitchen towels and and tonights dinner. It doesn't sound a lot for the money, but I will get quite a few meals out of that and I won't need to buy any more cat food for a week.
  • Please may I join? I may need to amend this but I shall go for £400 for the month but it has to include our diesel as it comes from the same budget!

Found a carton of milk in the store cupboard, so haven't been out for any milk. I will have to buy/make some bread tomorrow but I'll see what I feel like when I get up tomorrow.

More than I had anticipated spending, but I got some bits for stores that I didn't know would be on offer. We have a good stock now to see us through the month. Subsequent shops for January should be predominantly top ups for fresh bits.
