  • £5 for me today taking me to £73.97. I don't drink tea or coffee so I take a can of Pepsi to work with me to get me through the day, so I had to take advantage of the 30 cans for £5 in As!

  • I'm in! We've hit a bit of a house deposit savings snag in our household so need to get a better grip on our spending to save as much as possible.

Going for £220 for all groceries for the month of January (from December 31st to January 30th). This will include household bits and pieces but not cat food, eating out or takeaways as I have budgeted separately for this. Next stop, meal planning!
    Savings target: £25000/£25000

Took advantage of another £10 off £50 spend at Sainsbo - bought loads of cat food, loo roll, household stuff, so although I,ve spend another near £50, it should mean that all I need to buy this month is fresh food :)

I did treat myself to a lovely little red leather coin purse, which has 2 zipped pockets at the front, the idea being, I take out my remaining £150 in cash, receipts go in the front zip and that's the purse I take shopping - no cards :)
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

    £300/£130

    Hi guys :)

Well, technically my month starts tomorrow, but as everywhere will be closed I have just been with this week's budget to shop for the week. Got everything we need and even picked up a ridiculous amount of bread products reduced to 4p each *throws them all in the freezer*

Menu plan for this week is as follows:

    - Veggie pizza & garlic bread
    - Baked potato with baked beans and cheese
    - Vegetable lasagne
    - Qu0rn chicken nuggets, HM chips and beans
    - Green garden vegetable bake
    - Quorn sausages, mash, peas & gravy
    - Butternut squash curry with rice & naan

Lunches for DH and I are just HM veg soup or maybe omelettes... leftovers where we can... DS2 has packed lunches.

£39.51p spent, plus £10 for DS1's lunch money for the week. That leaves £20.49p from the £70 weekly budget to go in my little savings jar. Pretty happy with that tbh :)

    Also...

 HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Good luck and best wishes for 2016 :j
