Please could I join again for this year? I have a complicated situation where my partner joins me for many meals but we try and share out the provision of food equally, so up to now it hasn't really mattered.
Now I find myself in a really tight situation financially but one which I could solve by taking out some of my savings. However I would rather not do this as it's a slippery slope, so I will cut my coat, etc. and the cloth is £94. This should be quite doable as I have a lot of frozen and dried foodstuff and also a lot of M & S vouchers which I keep for extras. I will allow myself to use £20 of those in January for food, especially for their YS bargains if available. I am fortunate to live in a very cheap part of the country with plenty of low-priced but good food readily available. I have an embarrassing amount of cleaning stuff and toiletries and may have to cut back this month on the bulk buys of some of these items, and just hope I manage to get my finances back on kilter by mid-February.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Can I join please?
£250 for January.
That's for 3 adults and a cat. Hopefully I will spend less as I have well stocked freezer & larder, this should make me use what I have rather than just buying for food to cram in there.:)0 -
Evening all!
£55.46 spent in Mr. Al*i today.
Would have been less but didn't write a list beforehand (had originally planned on writing one on my lunch break, but had to work through it today) Also, bought a new umbrella as mine decided to break on my walk into work this morning  (FYI: soaking wet hair and mascara dripping down my face isn't my best look
) and bought a bottle of bubbly for the new neighbours who have invited us to their NYE party
Reckon, with proper planning, next week's shop should quite easily fall below the £40 mark.
Will keep you posted!January Food Budget: £0/ £500

I have moved from the December challenge to the January challenge a day earlier than planned as we went to Mr S tonight to buy our NYE meal and some tissues for DS who is full of cold.
£22.64 spent including £7+ on a piece of steak for DH, £3 on gammon for me and DS plus a frozen desert, tissues, deodorant, oven chips, peppercorn sauce, bread and tinned pineapple. DH is on SW and the steak is a treat and to keep him on plan. I hate beef so this is the only time he gets to eat it at home so I don't mind splashing out on it.
I have listed the contents of my freezer tonight and done a meal plan for the next 2 weeks as SW friendly as possible to keep DH on track.
I have a £5 off £50 voucher for Mr T but my shopping list for next week consists of:
Fruit (apples, oranges, bananas, pears and grapes)
1/2 swede
I x leek
Cooked ham
Cheese triangles
6 eggs
Baked beans
