What would he make of it? Money.

As executive chairman of moneysavingexpert he will get paid for his role, and the money to pay him comes from the site continuing to be a success. And he also owns a percent or so of its parent company. The business is a success if it has more users posting more content because it makes money from ads and links and user activity is generally positive for business valuation, even though it's often a load of nonsense.

If the /Motoring forum withered away and went down to 10 posts a week, instead of 10 posts every few minutes, the site would likely be worth less to him.
