    No worries. :)
Quick note. I really enjoyed Ghostbusters. Lots of nods to the original but it's a laugh to watch.

I saw Ghostbusters today and I thought it was great. The trouble is the original is an absolute classic, nothing would ever beat it, so it's not fair to compare the two films. I think this new one works completely well in it's own right.

I was very MSE-y and took my own microwaved popcorn and coffee in a thermos and water bottle.

Have just spent A LOT of money, on a train ticket to my hometown to see my dad for his 65th next week, entry to a 10k race, and a runners belt. I am looking forward to going home, but have heard that Southern Rail are going to strike at that time AND we all know what they have been like recently.

Football was good. We are aiming to be a full size team and up and playing games by next September which means I have just over a year to become awesome at football and super duper fit so I can play on the team. It gives me something to aim for.

Got rejected for a job today. Booooooooooooooooo.

Been finding that batch cooking really really works as I was unnecessarily proud of my 'leftovers lunch' today. Pasta, barlotto, baked beans and some grated cheese that were all hanging round the fridge and I made a super duper lunch that powered me for football and also meant that I didn't need a proper dinner, so i just had dessert (yogurt and fruit).

The thing is our house just has a small under counter fridge and likewise freezer. Perfectly adequate for 2 people, but not enough space for serious batch cooking. When I own my own home I dream of a huge fridge and a huge separate freezer.

The potatoes are looking a bit sprouted so may have to have them soon. Will need to rejiggle the food plan.

All is good in the hood.

The Groovy Food Company have got coconut oil (organic, cold pressed) for £4 in Tesco. It's the best offer for that high quality. And KTC for £2.20.

    Hi guys,

I have had a lovely day so far watching the Olympics on TV. I went on the exercise bike for 85 minutes whilst watching the Men's road race to make it interesting and to pretend that I was part of the Olympics :)

I am going to treat myself to a Domino's feast today as my OH is watching the football and I don't feel like cooking much when I'm on my own. Now, this isn't a good habit to get into, but I have purposefully done A LOT of exercise today and had a minimal lunch and breakfast meaning that according to myfitnesspal what I plan to will only take me 10 calories over the calories I should eat today. This is by no means a habit to get into, and I expect the scales tomorrow morning will tell me I was a fool, but this is how i've decided to earn my treat.

Seen an absolute dream job to apply for. I will work very hard on the application to make sure I am on the interview shortlist.

Not much to report, sadly I have only rocked up 1 NSD so far, but I am aiming big and bold for this month so as long as I beat last months total of 12 I will be happy. 15 will be great though and 20 will be epic.

My next door neighbours decided that August 6th was a great day to play, very, very loudly, Greg Lake's 'I believe in Father Christmas'. I could hear it crystal clear in my living room. They only played that one song though, no idea what that was about. I tend not to be too bothered by my neighbours loud music, which they are likely to do, as long as it is in the daytime. They're pretty ok neighbours so I let them have their fun.

Will be ordering my pizza soon. Have done two wash loads, the hoovering and the washing up. I may iron later but we'll see whether I'm in the party spirit or not. The women'd football will be on the Olympics later so I am looking forward to that.

Take care everyone and have a good weekend.

For the last three years in the summer our house becomes infested with something. 2014 it was flies. 2015 it was moths. and in 2016 it is.....fleas.

WE DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY PETS!

I blame it on next doors cat who tries to come in our house any chance it gets.

Ok, so i have only seen 3, but that's 3 more than I want to see.

I predict a lot of hoovering in my near future.

Myfitnesspal is so helpful, been using it since January and it's made such a difference! My calorie target is 1650 but I like to aim for closer to 1500. Certainly makes you more mindful about what you eat!

You havent seen any wooden boats and old dudes with long beards have you Florence :) thinking of Noah and the plagues BTW.

In seriousness fleas are awful. Yes hoover everywhere and wash all your rugs etc. I lived in a house with a serious infestation once. Hideous.

I'm allergic to fleas and for years kept spraying and then hoovering which did nothing but waste money and kept me in a constant state of anxiety. The trick is to hoover each room... including moving furniture... and spray flea killer on all carpets and soft furnishings (as per instructions) then don't hoover for 4-6 weeks. That will kill them and prevent larvae from hatching. :/

3 is a small amount but if they are big enough that you can see them then they're adults which means there are probably more. Sorry to sound all doom and gloom but it's best to stop it before it gets worse.
I use StayKill and I only need to do this once a year (and I have 2 cats!).
