Amazon meltdown

I ordered a few things on 30th November and they haven't even been dispatched yet. Quite slow by Amazon standards, but thankfully I am not in a hurry for them.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
My item arrived this morning in line with the revised schedule. I cannot understand why the first tracking event was 0400 Thursday and the next was 1733 Friday - why was it not out on a Thursday evening shipment. As a supposed paid for premium service it is turning into a pretty shoddy mess. Amazon are certainly losing their shine. Maybe now they have pushed many retailers out they do not need to offer a service that is better as they are now the only option for many.0

Complaint to the top guy - Jeff at Amazon.com. Seriously if Amazon don't know they are failing they can't fix it.
One of the issues I brought up when I complaint was raising expectations. If you know your parcel is going to take 3 days and it arrives in 1 you will be happy. However the other way round you are unhappy.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

I have just ordered a few things. All available to be delivered next day, all through the steps delivered next day. Pressed order. E-mail arrives - not all items will be delivered next day. It is not a big deal if it does not come next day but why does it keep on stating next day delivery until the confirmation e-mail.0

They really need to sort out their predictions and promises on the delivery front.
I ordered two items - neither urgent.
It originally said the order would arrive on the 16th.
Both items were listed as 'preparing to dispatch'.
Then I get an email to say that one item has been dispatched separately so that I get it quicker.
The other one will dispatch 'when stocks are available'! And yet it shows that it is 'preparing for dispatch. How the hell can you be preparing something for dispatch if you do not have stock'?
If you are going to lie to your customers, it would be sensible if you did not send them emails that enable them to see they are being lied to.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

There might be things they can do even while waiting for stock to come in that can constitute preparing for dispatch. It doesn't necessarily mean that your item is being packaged at that moment.
Regardless it could be clearer and can see why you have found the whole thing confusing.
I tend to just note the date that is showing on the order and don't really bother with the status, it doesn't really make a difference to me what's going on in the background - just want to know when to expect my delivery.
It looks like you are going out of your way to find something to complain about.0 -

The email confirmation will be the same as the date just before you place the order.
The order before thing on the product page is more of a guide, when you confirm the delivery address it will calculate your delivery date depending on a number of things.0 -
I'm a Prime member, and I'm being driven to despair by their service of late.
I ordered 2 separate things, one should have been delivered on Saturday, the other today, Sunday. Both were Prime items. Neither has arrived. I'm now in work the rest of the week, and if they are delivered, they'll just be left on my doorstep, right beside the street for all to see.
I appreciate they're busy, especially at this time of year, but it's a poor show. I've phoned up to complain, and what makes it worse is the person on the phone just doesn't care.Debt free except for this blooming mortgage!
Offsetting is the way to go!0 -
the real question is are you going to continue your subscription!?0

That's not the point!! (But yes, because Prime is convenient at times. It just irks me when stuff isn't delivered on time.)Debt free except for this blooming mortgage!
