Amazon meltdown

Just need a rant really. I'm a prime member, ordered some goods Tuesday and Wednesday for next day. Unfortunately they said Friday. Okay, that's fine. I understand it's week of cyber Monday etc. Only I've now received notices that some of the parcels will be delivered today. I guess early is better than late. :/

And that's worth a rant? If that's all I had to have a rant over,, I'd consider myself blessed.

    I'm a Prime member too.

When I ordered something this morning and was advised it's coming Saturday instead of tomorrow, I just shrugged my shoulders.

And if they get in touch later to say it's coming Friday, I'd be pleased rather than having this face:

I am not a Prime member.

I ordered an item on Siunday.

    Confirmation said delivery Friday .

Got an email on Wednsday saying it would arrive Thursday- and it did.

The last three orders i have made have arrived before the estimated delivery date.

I am not a prime member. I placed an order on Tuesday with free delivery to a nearby Spar shop. Delivery was said to be Friday. 8am Wednesday morning I had a text to say the parcel was at the shop ready for collection.

    Well pleased.

I'm not a prime member either.

Ordered an item for free delivery on Sunday evening and received confirmation to say that delivery would be between Friday and Monday. Actually arrived yesterday. :)

I've always received very prompt delivery with their free delivery service so doubt I'll sign up for Prime.

I'm a prime member, service so far has been good. Had a lovely sack trolley delivered today, to move a tumble driver. No problems.

Have ordered a super king size mattress, delivery would have been a few £££ if not for prime.

I hope it arrives in one piece. First one I ordered took 3 weeks and arrived completely trashed, looked like it had been used in a rugby match instead of the ball. Replacement took 2 weeks.

I ordered something on the 27th november for sons bday on the 6th december next day delivery - so plenty of time, was handed to courier on the 28th... and its still in basingstoke hub or somewhere.
Usually amazon chat really good at sorting out - last time this happened with 2 laptops they sent another 2 out there and then after a week late, this time I had what was probably a temp who had the job just for xmas, and spoke really poor English and said nothing they can do. Maybe they used to work for sportsdirect? Will try a phone call tomorrow morning, never had to ring amazon, hopefully they speak English.

I have an item that was "handed to carrier" (RM) at 4am yesterday. It was supposed to be here today but is now scheduled for tomorrow. The service is definitely lacking, I only get about 50% in the advertised time frame. And Amazon CS is certainly not what it used to be, IMHO down to its Asian call centre.

I have been having the same experiences as Molerat so far this year.

Latest one is due tomorrow and I got a text message to say there was an issue with it. Issue is that DPD are already unable to meet delivery times and the christmas rush hasn't even started yet. Really does not bode well for the next while.
