Well as if I wasn't cheesed off before now I really am VERY cheesed off!!

One of my brothers in law has just called round with his new girldriend and she REALLY flirts with my DH. She flirts with EVERYONE but I really hate it when she does it to my husband!

She keeps on and on about wanting him to take her on his motorbike. He says NO quite firmly as he knows I would be very uncompfortable with it but she never stops. She keeps saying
" but I'm so little and pettite you wont even feel me on it"

I take this as a personal dig at my weight. I don't think my husband could be any cooler with her without being rude so he isn't encouraging her. I just REALLY hate her!!! Skinny B***H !

Oh that's better, rant over xxx:rotfl:

    Good252525252520Afternoon1.gif everyone.

I have just finished work and then popped in to Mr T's for some bits. What a nightmare that was - it was heaving in there.

OH is off to the cardiologist again tomorrow and I have managed to arrange my day off so that I can go with him. His right lung is still half full of fluid and after 4 doses of antibiotics the GP sent off a sample which grew no bacteria, so he now thinks it is viral and has started him on an inhaler which should coat the airways and reduce the hacking cough he has. His breathing is still fairly rapid but 'to be expected under the circumstances'.

I am going to hoover and tidy upstairs before tea and then tackle down here when the kids have gone to bed. Then I think a nice hot bath and I may start a jigsaw, it will be the first since LO was born nearly 3 years ago and as I have half a dozen that I have aquired through Ebay gathering dust I feel justified in wasting a few hours later on tonight.:T :T :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Awww Frogga,

    Huge hugs to you.

She seems slightly insensitive of others feelings at the least, and prehaps you are also feeling a little insicure at the moment isn't helping things.

From what i have read your husband sounds like he loves you very much, just the way you are.

That is a very precious thing and if he said that there was a great photo of you, i believe he must have really meant it.

Of course if you feel you want to lose weight for yourself then that is never a bad thing but as long as you show your hubby how much he means to you in the mean time, i guarentee you have noting to worry about.

When i met my hubby i was a young slim 19 year old with the world at my feet who dressed immaculately and always made sure i looked presentable..

10 years down the line although i havent put any weight on i spend most of my life in jogging bottoms with my hair swept back, no makeup and no effort to look good.

Some days i wonder what my hubby sees in me but at the end of the day it is my insecurities that make me feel that way and deep down i know he would love me no matter what.

Next time brother in laws girlfriend asks if your dh will take her out on the bike tell her that with her being so 'little and petite' you fear for her safety and wouldn't want her flying off the back to an untimely accident as you need some weight behind you to keep you seated!

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello:hello:

Haven't posted on the daily for nearly two weeks:eek: Combination of nothing to say, and feeling very down in the dumps. Still, beginning to feel a bit brighter today.

I have read some days and belatedly send congrats to all your clever children who have acquited themselves so well in their examinations.:T :T :D

Hugs to those who need one (or more!!)

AussieLass I go to Canada Wednesday of next week. The chances of you seeing me in a swimsuit by Niagara Falls are less than your chance of winning the lottery:rotfl: I'm sure my son and DIL can't wait;) I have been asked to take the biggest jar of Branston pickle I can find!!

Going to have a quick look round, I'm trying to put off cleaning out the fridge. ( I know there will be lots to throw, I'm ashamed to say. Consequence of feeling down:o )

anniebooklover, was it you who was getting logged-out while typing? If it was ( I may be losing my marbles!!!) I used to get this, but now when I login I tick the remember me box. Hasn't happened since.

Thanks Heavenleigh that really made me smile. xxxxx

I think you are right it has more to do with how I feel about myself and It's mostly in my head I'm sure!

Hi churchmouse , come back on here and make yourself feel better by listening about our sad lives!:rotfl:

Well, better hop off and get on with the tea! xx

  • frogga I second what heavenleigh said. your DH obviously loves you, EXACTLY as you are. Don't let an insecure twig of a woman make you feel bad about yourself.

Churchmouse yes, it was me who mentioned being logged out. I must remember to click "remember me" - didn't do it this time. :o

DebtphobicD thanks for the tip re the greaseproof paper. Don't have any in the house but will give that a try before I actually sew my fingers to a tea-towel. ;):D

smokeybabe hope all goes well for DH tomorrow.

Had a lazy day today but don't feel bad as I have ticked a few jobs off the list this weekend. Off to put my feet up again. xx

    Evening all
I'm really having to fight hubby to get some time on the pc, hence my late arrival.
Frogga, sorry to hear about the bimbo, I have a few putdowns that I use in these circumstances. I'm 5 years older than my hubby & overweight, I do have an advantage of being nearly 56 so I'm way past worrying about being rude back.
One thing to remember is to keep smiling, she will almost certainly be doing this as much to upset you as to attract your hubby.
I would ask her directly 'Are you being intentionally rude? Or are you just to stupid to realise?'
We have a neighbour who flirts with any new guy that moves in, she tries to make her hubby jealous, he then starts a fight. She came over to talk to my hubby over the garden fence, she didn't see me as I was kneeling down, weeding at hubby's feet. She stroked his arm & said 'If you're going to be alone later, I could come over' I stood up & said 'Make it about 7ish & I'll take pictures!' She rarely talks to us now, lol.
I finally have the sound working on my p.c. I got it done in exchange for a plate of Twinks Hobnobs.
    Have a good evening all.
Hugs to cat, frogga & anyone else who wants one.

    Hi Folks

Only had a quint squint at you today from work - yes a lot of Scotland don't get this bank holiday! However I do have a Monday holiday mid September which will be good.

Catowen - I do hope you are feeling a bit better. Wish I was nearer - I would be round at yours for a coffee like a shot!

Mrs Mix - hope DD continues her recovery.

N9eave - hope you get back to your own locality - Personnel (or HR as they are now called) don't always take on board the full picture.

JuliaP - don't worry too much about your Mum. My dear MIL will be 88 this September and she has repeated herself for years! Just a wee trait our kids and us say - Granny's memory not too good. She is so active bowling almost every day in the summer and doing darts, crib etc in the winter (and she can drink us under the table)!

dlb - I think my eldest grandson takes after your son! Any chance and he has his clothes off (mind you he is only 4). Tell CrazyC I am thinking about her.

Smokybabe - so glad to see you back - hope DH OK tomorrow.

Frogga - your DH knows what is going on. Good for him to resist and don't get too upset by it. She is one of those women who flaunts it. Its a wonder she can be trusted!

Well, just phoned Perth RI to enquire about Mum. No news yet about her transfer to Dundee for the pacemaker but yet again the Staff Nurse called her to the phone which was really good. It was lovely to speak to her and as I said yesterday she seems really upbeat about everything. Her visitors have tailed off a bit and it is difficult for me to get there but may have to just do an evening round trip during the week.

Not much else to report really.

Love, hugs, congrats to everyone else.
