  • Ah I see - a rollercoaster road then!
  • Good morning all,

Catowen hope you are feeling better today. ((hugs))

Quiet day here today. DS and DD won't be back until around 7.30 pm tonight so I have a bank holiday all to myself. :( Next stop, Christmas.

I may try using the sewing machine that my cousin gave me. She has found the presser foot that was missing so it is now complete. Will have a bash at sewing an old tea towel together as practice.

DS's bedding is in the WM so will go out onto the line shortly. Marinaded chicken yesterday and cooked it in the oven so will have that with cous cous for lunch today and maybe dinner too.

Reserved the Tightwad Gazette online at my library yesterday - can't wait for it to come! It will just be in time for DS and DD to go back to school. I love the holidays but it will be nice to get back into a routine again and hopefully once I am, I can start applying some of the tips from TWG.

Off to have brekkie now. Have a marvellous Bank Holiday Monday. xx

    Morning All,

Never had the computer on over the weekend as i was feeling awful and needed lots of input from my friends and family which was duly given and gratefully received!

dont know whats been happening over the last couple of days but huge hugs to everyone in need of them.

Not a lot planned for me today, havent done much this morning either but did manage to get all the washing and ironing up to date over the weekend so im feeling very relieved about that.

need to go and empty DW, make beds etc and all the other dailies throw a loaf into the BM.
hope everyone has a good day
    kindest regards

Big scare to realise this is last Bank Hliday until Christmas Day itself!!!!

ANNIEBOOKLOVER when I did sewing classes at school we started by drawing a mixture of curved and straight lines on a sheet of greaseprooof paper and sewing along them with no thread in the machine, then our first project was a drawstring flannel bag, made out of an old teatowel. Hope it all goes well.

Ithink we are off to Science and Industry Museum today to see the Dr Who Exhibition. The Museum is free but it does cost to see Dr Who. Don't want to pay too much as we haven't taken them to a theme park yet but no good for today as DH hates them.

hope you all have a good day,if sun is shining here it must be good everywhere.

Donna I spilt my tea laughing about your son's antics

Up early this morning as DH decided t come back from the festival for a shower. He couldn't get in the front door as its bolted from the inside, so he rang the bell for me too let him in. Went back to bed to sleep for a little while, missed him not being there.

Am nw up making tea while he showers, and he'll be off again soon.

Today I WILL pop to the food festival. Nothing else planned yet, I'll see what the day brings.

Catch up with you all later xxxx

Juliapenguin - We used to go to St Annes every easter for 3 days for about 10 years on the trot at the Dalmeny hotel. Went back to the hotel last year when I was working there and it was awful  Funny how memories alter eh!!St annes is still lovely though (the Fairy Glen hasnt changed at all :T

Well according to the bbc 1 weather forcast its already a beautiful day with not a cloud in the sky and is going to be really hot ---mmmm that will be down south then where of course the whole of the UK live:mad: Certainly not blue sky in Warrington now its grey and cloudy - really hope it improves I have a lot of things I could do with avoiding by sitting in the garden

STILL not finished the last bit of papering in the lounge - dont actually know what happened to yesterday but it was gone before anything really tangible got done:rolleyes: Spent a good amount of it with my next door mate and perhaps it was those couple of bottles of red wine that made the day slip by so easily:beer: . We went to see George Michael a few months ago and decided to relive it last night - apologies maybe needed to rest of the close :embarasse:

So today I WILL finish the papering then if it stays grim I guess I could do with doing some housework:eek: hurry up sun please

Enjoy the bank holiday everyone Christmas is coming :xmastree: :shhh:

Good morning everyone:wave: and a :grouphug: for anyone needing one

Hope your feeling better catowen ....

Well we have glorious sunshine this morning (lets see how long it lasts)...

Its not a bank holiday here, so hubby is at work - minus his lunch...which is still sat in the fridge, despite my last words being "dont forget your lunch" and hearing "i wont i wont":rotfl: :rotfl: so guess who will be back about 12.30????

After getting quite a lot of stuff done over the weekend..im ahead of myself :T ....and its home made pizza for tea..since i have some mozzarella with basil, peppers, salami i would like to use up...and i will be making 2 calzone to stick in the freezer for another day :D

Hubby is travelling back to the UK on friday and will be away until the early hours of monday morning.... so im gonna take advantage of it and finish the last couple of boxes i still need to unpack and give the spare room a good sort out :A .....

Hopefully as hubby is away for 3 days, i should get away without shopping this week...mmm perhaps a litre of milk at most...which will mean i will be well on target with dbelles challenge as i will have only spent 16.68 euros or £12 in 2 weeks:rotfl:

well i had better get off and give mum a ring....

hope you all have a good day

Me and DH saw George Michael at Wembley earlier this year, we relive it every Friday night :o:D :j

It is a beautiful sunny day again - washing is nearly finished so I can hang it on the line in a mo.

I've decied to let DD help me make the tea tonight  Sausage and pasta bake - we'll see how we get on ;)

Not much else planned - aside from maybe some knitting. I did another square for my throw yesterday - 2 down... 98 to go :rotfl: I got in a state knitting my square that's got little ladders  Knit 2, purl 4 etc knit the next row, I cast on with 28 stitches and ended up with about 50 - don't know where I'm going wrong - think I'll leave that one when I've had a bit more practice

Anyway better go - have a great day everone and huge huggles to Catowen - please post and let us know how you are :D
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
