stretch marks!!

Hello, had my 2nd son on Tues 28th sept ;D. I used plain old vaseline this time round and have one stretch mark on my hip (prob more to do with the fact I stuffed myself than that I was pregnant!!)
Far cheaper than option than all the "made for stretch mark" alternatives.

KK....
Sounds just like my hubby and I ;D
Palmers cocoa butter is great! I already had purple stretch marks on my hips but now they have lightened considerably & prevented any further marks.
I get them as my weight fluctuates a lot but PCB before bed once a day sorts me out.
It's the stuff in the big bottle, not the one for stretch marks in the tube. The squeezy bottle is no different to the tube, just more for less ££££.
The tube works the opposite way!! Good old marketing ploy.
Good luckWatch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]0 -
The one I used was superdrugs "for mum" or something like that designed for stretch marks, it was great! the only problem is that I only rubbed it where I thought I would get stretch marks!! (I got lazy) and I have stretch marks in the places I didn't apply the cream!! >:( The only good thing about this is that it showed the cream worked!!!Sarah x0

I am 26 weeks pregnant and haven't got any stretchmarks (yet?!). I've tended to look out for offers, there are so many pregnancy ranges out there that whenever something new comes out, the last one gets reduced.
I started on Palmers Cocoa Butter when it was BOGOF in Sainsburys, but it didn't agree with me. So I've since been using Pregnacare cream (which was reduced to clear in Boots). Very very sticky though so no good in the mornings, you wouldn't be able to get dressed for an hour! Have also been using Miriam Stoppards Tummy Massage Oil (which was also reduced to clear) and Avent Future Mother dry oil spray which is lovely. The Sanctuary has just bought out a range which is gorgeous but unfortunately not cheap.
Just keep checking Boots for whats reduced...something missing0 -
Its dead right that you've either got stretchy skin or you ain't...I rubbed over priced 'for Mums' moisturiser day and night for both my pregnancies and am now a delight of stretch marks, tummy, sides, legs chest...three years on and no sign of fading...gonna give that wheat germ oil a go though!!!0

Bio-Oil
is recommended for preventing stretch marks :-/ not sure on that
but I have used it to minimise the marks I've got and it does work, also worked on a bad scar I had after burning my arm on the iron,
can get it from superdrugI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards.
