Bt sport trapped into new 12 month contract

I can't believe OP thanked this nonsense. There is no excuse for being rude to the CS advisor and that is exactly what this post is suggesting.
OP, you made a mistake, I've gone through the sign up screens and the minimum term is very clear and stated more than once. If you want BT to help you out then be polite - and remember the person at the end of the phone/ online chat is a human being too. They are not there for you to get angry or argue with.0 -

Absolutely. And I mean that. Let the buyer beware!0 -
Dipsomaniac, when you added your mobile , you were buying an extra product, so no extra condition; far different from the other situation, when you took a special offer, so needed to offer something in return ie extended contract time.0

teddysmum. the mobile deal was also a special offer £5 to bt customers instead of £10.
have received a response from bt. this is the last line
'your contract length will be maintained and not removed, the reason for this is that you placed the order online which takes ownership away from us ie BT.'"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -
Update for anyone else in a similar situation. They did the decent thing and
removed the extra 12 month contract restoring my faith in bt. Thanks for all the replies"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
