Well, just sorted the advert out for the pony, and now time to wait to see if there is any interest, I'm going to be picky about who I will sell to as if I get it wrong I will regret selling, but if I get it right it means I know she will be properly looked after and I can start the next part of my life... it feels very strange and I'm still not sure if I'm doing the right thing, horses have been a huge part of my life for over half of my life so tying to imagine life without one of my own is difficult, but someting that I think I am ready to do. Well, we will see, there might not be any interest or it may take months to find the right home, anyway time for tea, oh is cooking and we are having steak! X
  • It's a big decision, but you're doing what's best for you at the moment, and you'll make sure she's well looked after. x

Well, today the weather is miserable, I had a lie in as I'm back to work tommorow, my sleep pattern is out of sync to what I need it to be for work, I was still awake at half 2 this morning! But I'm sure it won't take me long to get back to the half 6 get ups! Trying to keep myself busy today so I'm tired at a normal time tonight. Washing is on, soup made for tomorrow and kitchen cleaned afterwards. Pony has been mucked out and turned out in the rain for a while, she was happy to come back into her stable today! Now time to clean the bathroom.... must keep going and not get too comfy otherwise I won't sleep!

Does anyone else do their cleaning in 20 minute bursts! I seem to naturally do this, I will have a mini break after the 20 minutes to check Facebook or fuss with the cats then carry on for another 20 mins haha! But I found £6 so I have split that between my Christmas 2016 pot and the holiday pot

Hello everyone... I don’t appear to be functioning very well today, getting up at half 6 has been a total shock to the system, the pony was confused at me being at the stables so early- I think I woke her up… got into work and had fun logging onto the computer… feeling very ‘meh’ but I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one feeling this way today! So far this morning I have put my holidays in the works holiday calendar, planned lunches in with various friends and opened an excel file… I’m sure my head will get into gear at sometime today, or maybe not, I’ll do my best!
I managed to make another payment to the CC by not doing a food shop this week- we had plenty of stuff to keep us going for meals and I’m fairly sure if we need any bits of things the OH will pick them up at the corner shop as he is off work for this week with his poorly leg. So have sent that over to the account and will update my signature when it has been received by MBNA.

I have ebay items finishing today, so fingers crossed that I get more bids!

Right, better get on with whatever it is that I’m supposed to be doing…

    Hi all,

So I am getting back into the swing of things agian now, day 3 at work and my head is actually functioning properly now- so thats good :-)

I did put an update on here yesterday but there must have been a problem with the computer as it doesnt seem to be here!

So to update, current CC total is now at £2500 due to missing a weeks shopping and some ebay sales, I think i'll be able to make another payment out of this months wage of approx £80 before payday on the 15th and will be putting more onto ebay at the weekend, its so nice seeing the numbers come down!

We usually get some form of bonus around March/ April time and I have a week off at the end of March so I am going to aim to go test driving some cars at this point tryign to decide what I want- I think this will help drive me to sort out whatever is remaining at that time.

feeling pretty motivated, and the weather is really helping my mood today as the sun it actually out! i'm stuck in the office, but i can see it through a nearby window and it does lift me mood :-) looking forward to Spring time when we can go out walking again (when OH knee is better) and hopefully out on the bikes too.

hope everyone is is just as motivated at the moment :-) keep saving everyone :-D
  • Pleased you're all sorted with work. I'm afraid I've just gotten more and more tired as the week has gone on. I need matchsticks tonight...

Is it not the weekend yet?! Had a busy day at work today and forgot my lunch so had to buy it, not very MSE of me! Finished work slightly early and rode the pony, she was fantastic even though it was blowing a gale and the farm was making strange noises in the wind. Nothing to report really about saving any money, in fact I got a letter today saying my car tax is up for renewal, which is annoying as I want to get rid of it! Anyway, my lovely oh has made meatballs and spaghetti for tea, so off to fill my face and fall asleep :-) night everyone!

Finally it's the weekend! And what lovely weather, it makes such a big difference to me, especially at the stables, the pony got to play out in the sunshine and I think I may even wash the car. Going to have a go on the exercise bike the we have and then put some more things on ebay. My patner got told he has some inheritance money from his uncle, we don't know how much yet but it looks like we may be able to pay off the cc and therfore get a new (lease) car sooner than planned, fingers crossed!!! Hope you all have a lovely day!

Hi, I appear to not have updated my diary in a while, and to be honest it’s because there’s not an awful lot to say. Things have been quiet, I’ve been working and sorting the pony out, its payday in a few days so I can send more money to the credit card at that point. In the meantime I have transferred a few pounds from my paypal account and will send those off to the CC as soon as they appear in my account.

I thought I had a buyer for one of my horsey items (not the horse) that would have brought in £80, but they have gone quiet again.

My partner and I have really got into cooking from scratch, which has to be healthier for us- don’t know if it’s costing us any less just yet but once we have a few meals perfected I’m sure it will- it’s certainly not costing us more that’s for sure!

Looking forward to payday as I need to go and find some bargains for household stuff, so a trip to home bargains is in order I think!

Still lots of things that I need to sort for ebay, got a couple of things finishing this week so fingers crossed- all these little things do add up don’t they?

I am going to try and be super organised this year as well with regards to birthdays and Christmas, I have started a list that I can write down ideas for prezzies as a reminder, that way if I see anything on offer I can pick them up and store all ready! Don’t know how successful this will be, but good intentions and all that :-D

I’m not sure how much is adding up in the holiday spends pot as the OH has been chucking spare cash in there too, so I will be very excited when it comes to opening it, I’ll still track what I put in as I find it a motivator, but knowing theres more in there is just a yummy feeling!

Anyway, I’ll get back to posting each day, even if its just to gather my own thoughts :-D
