    Yey!!! Its payday!!!! :-)

Whilst I am waiting on the CC coming through the post I thought I’d have a look at my standing orders within my own accounts, this month I have reached my goal of having £1000 saved in my ISA- I have now stopped the standing order to that account for now whilst I concentrate on shifting the debt, so that £100 extra to throw at the CC, I plan on setting up the direct debit for the amount I’m used to disappearing form my account for the loan then manually make extra payments as I think that will encourage me as I see the numbers reduce on a regular basis- does anyone else use this thought process?

also had a sale of a horsey book so they just need to come round and pick that up- I figure any bits that I sell that I get given cash for, I'll put that towards my 2016 Christmas tin as there should only be bits to that, and if it doesn't go in the pot which is fully sealed it'll disappear to goodness knows where so it may as well go to good use!!!

I'm really looking forward to Christmas and spending time with the families and getting to see the pony in the daylight for a change wooop! Looking forward to doing catch up jobs at the stables like giving my saddle and bridle a good clean and having a sort out of things I can sell.

anyway, its all looking good, and I'm feeling really excited about getting this debt cleared!

hope everyone else is well and starting to feel Christmasy?!

  • 3 more get ups for me and then work is done for the year.
It's Christmas jumper day at work tomorrow so I think that will help with the festive feeling.

hope you have a good day at work CCL- and enjoy Christmas jumper day!
I've got my one to one performance review today, so hopefully that should go ok, I'm working until next Wednesday, but I have a feeling next week will be a quiet one at work!

I'll put a proper update up later on :-)

    Hello all!

So it was secret Santa at work today, the person I bought for seemed to like her gift and I received some lotions and potions- so saves me buying more (J ) and is a different brand than I’m used to so I’ll give it a go, it came in a cute little bag which I will need to find a use for too J

Had my one to one end of year progress review and got excellent feedback for my work, having become a manager this year this means a lot as I really want to do a good job. Am on target for a promotion in early 2017 to be a team leader which is my career goal so all in all feeling pretty good about things J

Hoping my CC letter has come in the post today as want to get all that stuff sorted as soon as possible!!!

Logged onto my online banking- and the money transfer from the credit card has happened! I’m so excited! I’m hoping that I’ll have a letter when I get home to sort the DD out and have sent another request to the bank for my final loan settlement figure just to check its still the same before I pay that off, but I’m excited that I can get cracking with paying things off!

Obviously i'll get the loan paid as soon as possible, but for right now, I'm sat here feeling great, it basically means I've saved myself a small fortune in interest and for a very short space of time, my bank account balance looks amazing hahahaha :-D

I've found some spare change hanging around at my desk at work so that will be going straight into the Xmas 2016 tin when I get home- £5!!! :-)

    felling fab about that too!

hope everyone is feeling great today?!

Woop! So I have all the details through for the credit card and have therefore set up the direct debit and paid off the natwest loan, which was much easier than I had expected! The amount wasn't as much as they had told me over txt yesterday so I have transferred the difference back to the credit card, very MSE! Looking forward to watching strictly tonight then hoping the supermarket won't be too busy to do our Christmas shop afterwards!

Hi Tradcob, I've done the same as you I.e. Paid a loan off with a 0% card this week. Just waiting for my online details to come through so I can pay the surplus back onto the card. It feels great to savemoney in interest without requiring too much effort!

Lcc86 yes, I totally agree, can't believe I didn't do this sooner! Are you saving up for something special once your debt free?
Am quite pleased as a nook I've been trying to sell for ages has sold on ebay for £9! So that will go straight to the card ☺

I don't know yet, just saving up for whatever life throws at me I guess! It still seems so far away that I don't even want to think about it!

One more get up before I break up for Christmas! Can't wait! Nothing much to report on a money front apart from listing some bits and bobs on ebay the other day... I'm super excited about Christmas, just need to get through tomorrow, 3 pm finish so not too bad, oh how I love flexi time at work!
