Hello All!!! I was so glad it was payday the other day! I managed to get my household bargains and think I did quite well in stocking up the cupboards, found our laundry tablets were on offer so bought a big tub of those, got a big fairy liquid as that was on offer too and lots of other stuff :-p

So, im happy to say that I put some money to the credit card, and when the other bits I sent to it today clear it will be sat at just under £2300, so IF we get the £1000 inherritance through, and IF I get a bonus from work and work really hard at clearing (selling) as much stuff as possible then it may be clear by the end of March, I am going to work super hard to clear it by then as I dont want to push my current car too much that it will break before i can replace it :-s

The sooner all of this stuff happens the better!

I have been looking online at deals but I honestly dont know what I want, but I do have some time off in mid March that I could use to go test driving!

I have started writing a list for the weekly shop to try and keep us on track, and not adding extras into the trolley!

I really need to get round to relisting some things on ebay, but just feeling a bit run down at the minute, I'm not really sure why, but am trying my best to keep getting someting done after work (and pony) each night even if its just folding the dry washing! I cant complain as during the week the OH does the cooking, maybe its just that there is a negative feeling going round at work at the moment and its draining me? who knows, i'm sure i'll pick up again soon!!!

    Hello all,

I’ve been a bit quiet recently, purely because life has been busy and as mentioned on my last post, i was just feeling run down, so i gave myself less things to do and am now feeling better. So I’m back now!

I’ve been working hard at reducing my CC debt, and am now at £1999.

I have decided not to use the inheritance that my partner is due- it’s nowhere to be seen yet, but I feel that this is my debt and I want to clear it myself and I am 100% positive that my partners uncle would approve of the money being put towards a holiday anyway.

So my plan…. We are due to receive a bonus form work which will make a nice dint in the remaining balance- I usually fritter this away on… well… I’m not sure what I usually do with it! But this year the whole lot is going towards the CC. I will then transfer another chunk from my savings account so I expect that in one months’ time I will only have approx. £300 to shift, I’m fairly sure that the whole thing will be sorted by the end April, but if I am lucky with a few items I’m selling it might be sooner 

I have found out the there is a current deal my workplace has with a certain car company for money off new cars, but not sure that’s the way I want to go, I’ll have to do the sums and see if that type of car will meet our needs 

There has been no movement with regards to selling the pony, and I do not feel guilty about it in the slightest, she is a gem, and I’m not 100% sure that selling is the right thing to do right now, financially it makes all the sense in the world, however… I’m just not 100% emotionally that its right for me right now. I have to be sure, and find the right person. So for now I have removed the for sale adverts, and am working on improving her education so that when it does come to selling her, she has lots to offer and will sell easily. It’s always a bad time to try and sell in winter anyway, the market tends to pick up slightly when the weather improves in springtime.

That brings me onto the weather, oh my goodness, I love it, I love the fact that when I wake up its not pitch black, I love that I can leave work and it is not yet dark, I love this frosty sunny weather it just lifts my spirits. My partner has suggested we make the most of the weekend and go walking which I am 100% excited about- I love walking! It’s been so miserable recently that we have been stuck inside, and what with working in an office all week, I get so frustrated and feel cooped up. So I cannot wait for the weekend to get here, I’ll get to stretch my legs on a proper walk :-D

I have been very MSE recently with the food shop/ using up things in the cupboards that have been sitting there for a while, and the result has been any spare cash has been chucked at the CC.

I am really looking forward to getting that balance cleared as soon as possible- has anyone else found it a bit addictive, just sending small regular payments gives me a bit of a buzz!!!

Anyway, I need to ensure I start updating my diary again and need to catch up with how everyone else is doing!!!!
