Well friends, I can totally see how people get into a muddle when it comes to credit cards, it took approx. 10 minutes for me from starting to fill info for me to have been approved, I filled in the info for a money transfer of 2888 (which is exactly the amount I need to pay my NatWest loan) and quickly got a credit limit of £4300!!! it doesn't make any difference to me as I am only using this as a cheaper way of paying off the loan I already have, but I can see how people may be tempted to spend more than they had intended!
just got to wait for the info to come through now in the next 7-10 days, pay off NatWest, then I can start being more flexible with the amounts I'm paying off the credit card.
I have been good and have put some things on preloved tonight- love it as it doesn't cost to sell and its usually local people so no need to post, just hope some of the stuff starts selling!
anyway, just thought I would capture my thoughts- hope all is well with everyone else

Hi all, I have a lot to be thankful for and am sat here reflecting, we gave one of my partners friends coming to stay for the weekend, I get on well with him and OH doesn't get to see him much so it's lovely hearing him laugh and chat. Other things to be greatful for, the house looks very festive, I love the look of the lights, I've finished buying the presents and they are wrapped, I have two lovely kitties who alays greet me after a day at work and one wonderful hairy pony who is a little superstar and makes me laugh, she has such a fantastic personality. I've got a fantastic family and a couple of fantastic friends. I am writing this out as it is so easy to get caught up in the day to day dramas at work and in life in general that sometimes I think it's good to reflect on all of the good in life! Going to have a sort out of stuff later to ebay after tea and when the boys want to play on the playstation or watch a film that I won't like haha! Unfortunately I didn't have a NSD today, but hopefully will tomorrow!0

Hi Tradcob :hello:
Just popping over to see how you're doing and you're well on the way to getting that sorted out. With regards to the car - my biggest regret was that I didn't get rid of mine earlier. I kept insisting on getting it fixed and then it gave up for good a few days before Christmas 2 years ago. My mam lent me the money to get a newer car as I was still on my dmp and I recently upgraded it to a 15 plate car. Yes there is a monthly payment, but I know that all of my servicing is included. So just fuel, insurance and regular wear and tear instead of £700 for a new clutch, £370 for coil pack etc etc.Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Hi Tradcob, just read your diary, I've had the dreaded head gasket problem before. It's a killer and costs a damn fortune!! Ironically the part itself is cheap, it's the labour that goes with it. I'm now in debt for a newish car and even though I hate being in debt, it was for the right reasons so as long as you look at it like that, you're doing the right thing.0
