I tried signing up for shop and scan but have never heard back off them, I don't know if I did something wrong x

You're not doing anything wrong. They just might not have any vacancies in your area. When they do, they will email you.

Well..... Thanks to our very helpful Marc from Eon Representative, I have a cheque for £64 winging it's way to me :)

I won't include it until I receive it as can take upto 28 days to be received.

But Marc was extremely helpful, one free phonecall later and another thing sorted.

Now for my debt to do the same and go away lol. I sent off some letters yesterday so let's see what reaction I get next week.

Hope CBC you have had time to write your letters and get somewhere hopefully with them.

I realise now it's a long game and they make it hard on purpose to put you off dealing with it. Because I must admit it is disheartening and the effort needed to fight, I can see why people give in and give up

Good luck everyone, not expecting much more results over next few weeks but it has been nice to see thread so chatty and lively.

I like seeing into other people's lives and getting a glimpse of them in real life.
  • Thanks Malc.

    Oh man WHAT. A. DAY.

Last night the hard drive on my macbook suddenly just went kaput  since it's a hardware issue and not software it's not something I can fix. My dad's handy with computers so I've bought a new hard drive and sent both it and my precious macbook back 'home' to Hampshire for repair. Had to take £150 out of my emergency savings to do so (new hard drive + return postage special delivery) but still cheaper than the apple genius bar - who couldn't even see me until Tuesday anyway!

Theoretically I could've saved £58 in return postage (I'd balk at that but it comes with insurance up to £1000 so I'll let it slide) and repair it myself but I'd have to buy precision screwdrivers and I do not trust myself not to break something else. Dad has more faith in my technical skills than I do. I'd rather leave hardware to someone slightly more competent.

It looked like I was going to be without a computer at least until Weds if not until after Xmas but this morning the family unit called me with an idea: my nan wants her own laptop so if I buy a cheap one and use that whilst dad is babysitting my pooly macbook, they'll then buy it off me when we're done.

So now I have a cheap (well, £270  it was the only laptop under £300 actually in stock anywhere in Glasgow this close to xmas) Toshiba to see me through and it feels so. wrong.

So, no surveys today. I'm going to sit and play pokemon and try not to cry. Everyone send good vibes that markmark (that's my macs name) makes it to Hampshire safely.

I did sell my old iPhone 4 for the £35 I asked for though, despite getting half a dozen £25 offers so that's something. Also means I *technically* got my iPhone 5 for £68 (paid £103 for it) but the proceeds have gone into the rallycross fund anyway.

Anyone else see this morning that Freecatlottery is no more? :(

Has anyone else found that quidco bespoke offers no longer has an estimated payable date next to it?

Looking at my account yesterday, stuff was supposed to go payable which would have helped with xmas pressies and none of it now has a date, all with client and apologies from quidco.....

another bites the dust I take it.
    .

I noticed bespoke vanished off quidco a few weeks ago, somehow I don't think we'll get our payment and I'm owed over £50 from an actual purchase but you never know I've been waiting since May for one from Curry's..

I think it was Homebase, someone found one of those free standing storage heaters reduced to silly money and it only costs 5p a day to use for electricity. Worth looking around for those.

    I find that hard to believe Aesop - 5p a day ! - £18 a YEAR ?

Why am I messing about with chain saws and log burners ?
