oh and I decorated one of DS' tshirts for his christmas dinner yesterday, sewed on crackers, some tree decs, lol. He loved it and his classmates loved it they were asking him about it and if they could pull the crackers....:rotfl:

Then he told me that some of the kids in his class just came in plain shirts and jeans.... see all that pressure from the school and I could have just sent him in with weekend clothes on.

I did feel sorry for the little boy I saw in full uniform. Unfortunately his parents like me didn't understand the letter which said, "kids can wear their christmas jumpers on Wednesday 16 December. " Not, the kids can wear their own clothes and christmas jumpers!

I was lucky that I was asking his teacher about it and she told me they could wear their own clothes.:eek: what is with schools and not communicating properly?

So the tshirt was a hit and I am a cool mum :rotfl:

Just realised my cheap energy tariff with e-on is almost up so applied to switch to another company. However my account with e-on is in credit by £101 (and another DD will come out before the switch is done putting it at £150) so at some point next month I'll get a nice wee credit from them.

    Morning lexbubbles

Thought I'd pop on and let you know about the Price Protection window that applies when changing supplier. This kicks in when fixed term contracts like yours are nearing the end. The window is open from the date on the renewal letter/email until 20 working days after the contract ends. Provided we're told, we'll make sure you're protected against any price changes that aren't in your favour whilst the change of supplier goes through. We'll work out which prices are cheapest, either the existing ones or the new prices, and charge these from the point the existing tariff ends until the switch is complete. Switching supplier usually takes about two and a half weeks. Also, exit fees don't apply whilst the Price Protection window is open.

Once the switch has gone through, your new supplier will send us the meter readings they'll use to open their account. We'll use the same readings to close our account and issue your final bill. This makes sure the same energy is only charged once. Credit balances are usually refunded within a couple of weeks of the final bill. If you leave the Direct Debit open, we'll refund it straight to your bank. If not, we'll send a cheque. Cheque refunds can take a bit longer.

Sorry to lose you lexbubbles but hope this is of interest. Let me know if you need any more details as happy to help.

    Morning Malc

You have reminded me last year I got a letter from EON I think saying that they had quoted me wrong for supplying energy when I asked for a quote. I can't find the letter now but I had to get my present supplier to tell how much they had been charging me over a certain time period. I asked my supplier and they told me I had to write in as that information was archived.

I cannot find the letter from Eon to reply, and we had mouse problems last year so I think it probably got chewed. Is this something you could help me with? please?
  • Hi Aesop

  • Just completed a survey for JustThe Answer which took me up to the redemption level for a £5 Amazon voucher :j(sadly they don't offer Paypal :(). Unfortunately there's a message on the redemption page to say they've run out of Amazon vouchers and to try again in a few days:(

anyone doing shop and scan, in case you haven't seen your emails yet

Thank you for your continued help on our ShopandScan Panel.

    Merry Christmas!

We are aware that this is a busy time of year and it can be difficult to find the time to scan all of the extra shopping you are getting in for Christmas. As a thank you for the extra effort that you make we would like to give you double points for Christmas!

Instead of the usual 1100 points, you will receive 2200 points for each week that you transmit your barcodes over the Christmas period.

The double points will be available for transmitting in the three weeks from Monday 14th December to Sunday 3rd January.

This means that the weekly reward points paid on Monday 21st December, Monday 28th December and Monday 4th January will be doubled.

During this period you will still receive 500 points per week for uploading till receipts as usual.

Thank you for your help with our research, and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    ShopandScan Team

    Please transmit every 7 days
or more often if you want.

I tried signing up for shop and scan but have never heard back off them, I don't know if I did something wrong x
