Do you think he's noticed that our need for men is diminishing?Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
As, of course, is men's need of women. Well certainly their need of one in the household!0

I said "militant feminist", the type of person who aspires to set half the world's population against the other half.0 -

I suspect most women do it unthinkingly, brainwashed into submission by gender stereotyping from birth, seeing it as "romantic" rather than tragic.
You must have a very low opinion of women if you think they are so gullible.0 -

So called "gender stereotyping" is absolute boll*cks, big time.0 -

Yes. I know one woman who was widowed after a fairly short marriage. She went back to her maiden name as it felt more 'her'.
It's less likely, I think, as in most cases a widow is less likley to have unhappy associations with the name than someone who is divorcing, in many cases may have had the name for much longer, or may feel loyaty to their late husband.
But there is nothing to stop a widow using whatever title or surname she wishes.
Thats interesting, I had never thought about it before I read this thread.Sell £1500

Think if i was widowed i'd still keep the Mrs. After all, we were only separated by death. Not divorce.
My mother still used Mrs and my dads name but when you think about it a widow isn't married is she, I mean she can't be because she can get married again so if Mrs means a married woman a widow isn't really a Mrs is she? I have been in bed ill for a week and I am burning up, think the fever is back not sure if I am ill or this is making my head spin Think I will take a break.Sell £1500
