Can I Fix This?

My move itself has gone really smoothly and I even managed to get a cheque for £1,000.00 from my old landlord which is for both the return of my deposit and the money that he promised me for all of the things that I left behind. But on a personal level things are not nearly so good. I also managed to almost turn up for my new job a whole week early because I forgot that my old employer had owed me a week because I had given up a week of my summer holiday to supervise a group of the older children on a school trip to France in August which meant that I managed to finish a week earlier than I was supposed to originally only I was so stressed about moving that I completely forgot about this and almost turned up this monday to work here when I do not even start there until next monday.

Some idiot managed to break just about every driving rule that there is and smashed into the driver's side of my sister's car and she is now in hospital. :mad:

Hi Ciara
i've been reading this thread for a while and think you have done fantastic. i also see from here that you have a brilliant sister. i really hope that she isnt too seriously hurt and that she gets better soon

She is covered in cuts and bruises and big swollen lumps and has a few broken ribs and a bone somewhere in her wrist area is broken as well but she seems to be much better and is as cheery as ever and is trying to make jokes about the situation which I think that she is actually doing to make the rest of us feel better. She has some strange idea that she is cluttering up a hospital bed that somebody who is actually sick needs more than she does and she is threatening to discharge herself even although she can barely stand up never mind walk to the door. :rolleyes:

You might not believe this but she is actually a really good and really safe driver and was totally not at fault here.

She was in quite a bad way but she seems to be making a very speedy recovery with all things considered but I think that mostly she is just far too resilient and determined not to let an idiot out of control drunk driver cause her any real problems. She is still fussing over me and trying to make sure that I am getting out and about and getting to know my surroundings and meeting new people even although she is still mostly in bed and in a lot of pain. :rolleyes:
