Good to see that one is gone completely.
What's next?
The next one is my only remaining creditor Buchanan Clark and Well but it is a reaaly big amount at £16,678.65 so I think that it take me a very long time to settle that one and I do not have anything of my own or even anybody elses left at all to sell so I am just going to have to work hard and count the months down until it is gone.Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -
I really do not understand this city because I have been told that we are right in the centre of it so why does post not arrive until nearly the evening?
I am only worried about this because I have had 3 job applications arrive for me today that I really do not remember asking for ever.

I am quite fed up with the postmen at the moment anyway! Sounds to me like your sister has been up to something again.....:rotfl:
Only one debt but a biggy.... How much do you pay them at the moment per month? I am assuming there is no interest accruing on this one? How much per month can you save for an early settlement? If they were to accept 75% that would be £12,750.
It may be worth posting a seperate question on the forum as to whether anyone has offered an early settlement to Buchanan and Wells and what their experiences have been.
As to the running, I do two mins jogging and one minute walking. It makes it more fun and I can actually do four miles whereas full blown jogging without stopping I couldn't even do a mile!
AND A BIG WELL DONE SO FAR ON REDUCING YOUR DEBT BY A MASSIVE AMOUNT.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I stayed on for a few more days after the wedding and just totally relaxed and enjoyed myself and had a fabulous time but now I am home and back at work and everything is back to normal again.
I have not even thought about my debt for all of the time that I was away and I had no real need to because I was in the middle of the countryside with nowhere to spend money at but now I am back and will have to sit down and work out my sums again. My sister stayed on as well and made me go running every single day with her and my brother in law and it was really hard work but I think now that my fitness level has increased very much.

I wondered where you were? Had any more thoughts about staying with your sister on a permanent basis. It sounds like you had a good time and bridges have been built with your brother-in-law.
Are you going to keep up the running now you are back home?:TQuality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Sorry I did not want to be rude and use the computer when visiting my aunt's house because she made a huge effort to make me feel welcome and at home while I was visiting especially since we have never really been very close before and because my sister had helped so much with organising and aranging everything.I was kept constantly busy before the wedding because my sister had designed the table arrangements and place settings and had us all really busy measuring and cutting ribbons and tying bows to very precise measurements to the point where I was convinced that she actually had a tape measure on stand by to check that our work was meeting her very exact specifications. :rotfl: I am convinced that that woman is actually really an aspiring military dictator. Things are much better with my brother in law and everything seems to have almost returned to normal and he has offered to help me sort out my remaining debt because he is actually much better at managing money than my sister so I am looking forward to his input and we are going to sit down and look through my options later this evening. I finished my pub shifts for the weekend and am now back in Scotland for half term and I am starting to really understand why my sister feels so at home here so I am giving the idea of moving here some serious consideration.
I have sent in four application forms for posts at local schools but I will just have to wait and see what happens because there are too many teachers here apparently and the competition for each post is very stiff. :embarasse I am still running every day and am gradually getting better at it but I am really starting to see the benefits of it and am starting to feel better both mentally and physically for it and am going to keep doing it.
