Bloomin' Heck - just had a look on ebay - same model with a buy it now price of £1295.00!

Nice one Ciara! Been reading your diary for a while now - keep up the good work - having two jobs sucks but does pay the bills.

Thank you so much for your kind words because I know that all that I ever seem to do is moan and whinge about everything and I think that I must just bore people to tears with it! :o It is my last day of this week where I have to work both jobs and I am actually quite happy to be doing it no matter how much I might complain about it because I know that it is the only way that I am ever going to be able to pay off my debts. :o I have actually quite enjoyed this week despite how tired that it has made me although my sister keeps telling me to be careful because exhaustion can apparently make you dellusional and she even offered to come down here to work my weekend shifts for me so that I can have a rest. :) I did tell her that I did not want her to do that for me though because this is my mess that I really need to fix out for myself and by myself which I think that she understands. :D

  • It is time that I faced up to the fact that I am completely and totally pathetic because after a week of making excuses to avoid my work party I was all set to go in today and say that although I do like everybody that I work with I really do not want to go because I do not think that I would enjoy myself and would therefore not be buying the tickets after all. But I did not do that instead of doing what I planned to do I completely crumbled at the first hint of any pressure and meekly agreed that yes I thought that it would be a brilliant night and no I could not wait for it either and then handed over the outstanding £90.00 like I actually have it to give away and will not miss it. How stupid can a person be exactly before they ever learn?

  • I can't believe you didn't stand up to them!!!
  • I can't believe you didn't stand up to them!!!

Neither can I believe that when it actually came to the point that it mattered I was unable to stand up for myself and do the right thing and I do feel really terrible about it. :embarasse But on a more positive note my boss let me finish nearly a whole hour early tonight because it had started to get quieter and because I have worked so hard all week. :A I am totally exhausted though and do not understand how my sister could possibly have worked hours like these for years on end. I am working 12.00 to 10.00 tomorrow and 12.00 to 6.00 on sunday which means that I actually have some time to myself and will eventually be able to update my budget and be able to see exactly how much that I will have left spare at the end of the month and if I am feeling really brave I might even try to work out how much of my pub wages I will actually be left with after deductions at the end of the month. :D

  • I see from your post that all of your debts are 'in default', this is good, because you are paying off the sum owed without the interest. My advice, it may not be right but has worked for me, is to send the stock letters from the national debtline, explaining that you cannot afford the monthly repayments and offer £15 a month to each. It is essential that you have a standard letter showing all the creditors, this will show the individual creditors that you are trying to be responsible and fair, offer each £15. Also it is imperative that you enclose a cheque for £15. Effectively, if they cash it, they have accepted your terms. Update this in your stock letter to show that 'x' and 'y' have accepted your offer. It worked for me, and 3 years on, it's all a memory to be worried about these debts. Good luck.

Thank you but I think I think that I, well I say I but it it was actually my sister who dealt with managing everything in the early stages of my debt crisis, might have actually done this but I am now at the stage where I want to pay as much as I possibly can to each creditor every month so that I can pay them off as soon as possible and be debt free hopefully well before I am 30. :)

  • I have started doing an update on my finances but no matter how hard that I am trying I just do not seem to be able to get everything to add up properly. Can anybody suggest a simple and idiot proof way puting my finances down on paper so that they make sense? :o

  • Well I think I might be single handedly responsible for half of our current global deforrestation problem because of the amount of times that I have had to rewrite my calculations for my budget plan until I eventually resorted to calling my sister and asking her to help me out with it which she did and had it all worked out and making perfect sense to me in a matter of minutes. :o It looks like if I keep paying the £534.00 per month pro rata to my creditors like I am doing just now then I will be debt free in just over 44 months but this does not include my wages from the pub or the tips that I make there either. :D If I do include £300.00 per month of my wages from the pub and keep the rest of them as well as my tips for living off of then I will manage to pay everything off in under 29 months. :D

    Ciara,

If you're with CCCS, they have a 'debt free quicker' bit on their website.

You put in the amount you can pay, and it works out when you will be DF.

Thank you, I have still not received my paperwork from them yet I think it might have gone missing in the post but I phoned them up and asked for them to send it to me on friday because I would much prefer that they dealt with my creditors for me and they said that they would send everything out to me so I am waiting with my fingers crossed because I certainly would never manage in a career as an accountant. :rotfl: :D
