I was woken up very early this morning to find my sister on my doorstep grinning her head off and shouting surprise when I finally answered the door. She lives in Scotland and I am beginning to wonder if they are actually in a different time zone up there because it is Saturday and was 7.00 am and that is not what I would consider a normal time for visiting someone. Anyway she is apparently only passing through and decided to stop off to see me for a few hours on her way to one of her friend's weddings because I am apparently not sounding like myself at all these days.

She has taken over sorting all the things for ebay and has even written descriptor labels for each item for their listings and guesses regarding postage costs and I will actually trust her judgement on this because I think that she single handedly keeps Royal Mail in business with all the parcels that she sends to her husband when he is away. I have been sent to find bubble wrap and parcel tape and brown paper as if these are totally normal things that everybody has a supply of so I decided to update you guys before I find myself at the Post Office to actually buy them in so that I do have them at home in the future.

I am working in the pub again today and need to remember to bring my tips tin home tomorrow to count the contents because it is getting very full so if anybody actually reads this and remembers about it later please remind me because I will forget.

I really do love her too despite her unrelenting cheer and positivity because by the time I went back to the living room she had already gone to her car and actually fetched the above items that she had actually brought with her and had all but finished wrapping everything. PS I think you should really take SS to the xmas do! I am sure he won't bite, I think he would only make a move on you if you were a car mat!

For anybody about to read this who has a low boredom threshold then I would strongly advise that you turn away now because I am completely and totally exhausted but my mind is in overdrive and I need to put my thoughts somewhere so will probably ramble and bore you to tears. I think that I have had the best day of my life ever in more ways than one today because so many good things have happened. For anyone who has told me that my sister is fabulous I have one thing to say to you and that is that you are absolutely and completely right. We went for brunch today and had what is probably ever the first proper adult to adult conversation and not because she has stopped treating me like a child because I do not think that this will ever actually happen in this lifetime anyway but because for the first time ever I actually took real responsibility for myself. We talked about absolutely everything and for the first time ever I can see her the way that everybody else does and can see why everybody who knows her loves and admires her so much and I am so proud to have her as my sister.

My shift was brilliant today and I even volunteered to do 2 extra hours overtime to help out which means that I managed to get 12 hours pay today. I was on food service most of the day and remembered to follow the instructions relating to this previously given by my sister to the letter and I am so glad that I did because I managed to make £150.00 in tips even after splitting them with the chefs.

I am in a way ashamed to admit it but I took lots of advice from my sister who became an expert on getting very good tips during her university years.
