Hi everyone, March has been a pretty good month for us savings-wise, and only a couple of very small unexpected expenses to deal with. One being car parking costs at the local hospital as OH had to have a series of tests done (all clear thankfully!) ... but why is hospital parking so expensive??

Anyway, declaring £2666.59 for the month. Happy saving everyone.

Thank you :) I wonder if I can get to the magic £100k in the next two months!

What will be will be, no matter how long, making a whisper off a £100,000 hit is amazing!

Your pride must be so much more inflated than your savings accounts :D
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Oh, also a small goal for me achieved, broke the £70k savings ceiling! Not as impressive as Tara's 100k but I would never have dreamed 3 years ago how much I would have stashed away

Light checking in on a very special day as of today I am officially DEBT FREE:beer:

As the CC was on a 0% I felt that I could start my savings journey until the term ends on the 0%

Declaring my savings figures for March £1725.94 making a total to date of £5154.40

I am starting a diary on the DFW as of tomorrow to track my journey to total financial independence which I am aiming to achieve before I am 50 (2022).

Well Done! And good luck in your journey to FI.

I promise myself I will never get into debt. Don't ever want to ever start on the back foot on the FI journey.

    March update from me:

I saved £1,454 in March - that's £2,557 so far in 2016, and my overall total to £97,764.

    :D

Nice! How long did it take to go from 0 - £100 000, assuming you meet your target in 2 months time? That's very impressive!

Another quick story. Having had a long conversation with a trusted friend last night about how hard I'm working and how much I'm paid, I decided to have the dreaded conversation with the boss about my salary and proposed pay rise in July. It went much better than expected! Turns out we're more on the same page than I thought we were going to be. All that remains to be seen is the test of time, how well he convinces the other bosses I should get this payrise and the next few months of solid hard work from me and financial success of the firm.

    Phew!-ish.
